What an old thread! Just wanted to give an update on that powertrax no-slip locker... I put ~100,000 miles on it over the last 9 years wheeling regularly and flogging it good on 35s for most of that time. Broke just about every part on a dana30 you can break during that time and this locker never had any issues! Worked just like day one up until I sold this truck a few months ago. If you're looking for a lunchbox style auto-locker I would absolutely recommend this one. https://www.powertrax.com/traction-systems-product/3158-differential-locker-9204443000/?crt_viaSearch=path%3Apart%3Adrop-in-locker%3Bposition%3A%23%28rear%2C%2Bn-a%29%23%3Bdifferentialcasedesign%3A_ANY_%3Byear%3A1989%3Bmake%3Ajeep%3Bmodelandsubmodel%3Acomanche%3Benginesize%3A_ANY_

if anyone finds this thread searching, the taillight screws are a #7 sheet metal screw. Finally found some at a better hardware store
-
I do appreciate it!!
-
hey eagle, thanks for checking. NO way these are 1/4" though.
-
Thanks Ghet, where did you find clips? I searched Summit racing and the local hardware didnt find anything decent.
-
Thanks Dude! That would be helpful, I'm happy to order replacement screws from mcmaster if I can get the spec!
-
Nothing in the store fit the clips I have, didnt measure the thread but it seems to be coarser than 6-32 but about that size. May be metric but none of the std metric stuff fit. so perhaps its not 0.7 thread pitch or maybe its a M3.5 long story short...if you have extra taillight hardware, i'd be stoked to have the factory stuff.

Hey Y'all, I'm looking for a set of taillight mounting screws and clips. Anybody got some they can spare? Thanks, -Nick

rustys offroad used to make them 2 years ago to accept standard oval trucklites, but I called they don't have any stock and aren't making them anymore here's a look at them from the web-archive http://web.archive.org/web/20170718131139/http://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-metal-tail-light-housings-pair-mj-commanche.html if you find someone making I'm definitely interested too!

Hey Rylee, just a heads up, that looks like a TJ ax15 based on the t-case clocking, I used one of those shortly and it puts the transfer case right up agaisnt the floor, you may have to "massage" the floor a little bit to get some clearance. You can re-drill the pattern down at the normal XJ/MJ clocking but using it as-is will gain you some ground clearance if it fits. https://www.ironrockoffroad.com/product/transfer-case-clocking-drill-jig.html see the first images in this article of where the pattern is on an XJ vs what you're showing here

did they actually use that style of gauge cluster in the HOs? I've only seen the other font. suspicious... -
Thanks Brent, another member was potentially going to pull one for me this weekend but if that doesn’t work out I’ll try here! @500 MJ

I'd be stoked dude! Please grab it!

i would rather sell my old truck whole but have been considering parting it out. How much do you want to pay? I'm in Santa Cruz have a 95 (external slave) AX15 from cherokee and mated to a 99 np231 both functional, 1st gear synchro is pretty lame but the rest is good.

it may come to that

Bump, c'mon y'all, I've got a big hole in my floor! Help!
-
Hey Y'all, My new truck is missing the big blank panel that covers the giant hole in the floor above the transmission. This piece is specific to column shift auto trucks. Hope somebody has one! I'm located in Santa Cruz 95073 Thanks, -Nick
-
yes! would you like to part with that one?
-
Hello All, I am looking for a blue micro console, the lil tiny guy that just covers the 4x shifter on a column shift automatic truck. Thanks in advance, -Nick

It is probably the same person every time. Put up a wild life motion camera pointing out the back window and check it the next time trash shows up. probly his wife :rotf:

what appears to be a RMS leak can be one or a combination of three seals. 1. valve cover gasket 2. oil filter adapter 3. RMS if you plan on having the RMS replaced I would at least inspect the other two realllly well to make sure they are dry first. I've put new RMS in 3 different jeeps and it each one is dry as a bone now.
