  1. Ok this is on a XJ but same thing. I have removed a few of these before not many though. I have never had one this RUSTY the heads of the bolts are just plain rounded I tried A smaller socket beat it on and then cracked it. What are my options? I was thinking get someone to burn the heads off or try to grind them off. I am doing this to get at the U Joints but As bad as these look they have to be original just turned 100,000 so I am thinking I need to replace the bearing also.
  2. I need and only want the 97up style door checks must be for the front either side of a XJ Cherokee only Grands are different. Really only need one but would buy 2 must work smooth also need the bracket it bolts to as mine are ovaled out (rear brackets are the same and often in better shape)
  3. don't know if this would help but I have a 4.0 with a spun bearing free for the taking if you want or need a good core.
  4. Around here there $100.00 give or take a little I sure wish I could get rust free parts for the prices you guys do. Mine was shipped from FL no rust but got dented in shipping around $160.00 total and glad to get it. If its nice no rust complete $50.00 is worth it for a spare if you have the cash.
  5. If you ask advance they may have other options or try napa.

    Bought A 92

Well guys I have sad news I took a guy with me that checked the truck pointed out allot of putty that I did not see and he said it was wrecked in the front at one time pretty bad. The price was $2700.00 so I walked away for now if he gets to a point where it gets to around $1500.00 we will talk again. After he pointed out the flaws and I came down from my 92MJ High I could see it. Oh and for rob its was 5/92. I am still having a hard time passing on this so time for another drink. If anyone wants the link to the add say so its yours.

    Bought A 92

I have wanted a 91 or 92 for a long time and finally found it, 92 LWB 4x4, today its in really nice shape for a northern truck put some money down picking up Tuesday. I did snap some pics I will add later. Needs a little body work but not much it is white so it shows theres nothing thru just pealing paint with rusty metal. Looks to have no putty in it all stock 2nd owner hes had it for 10yrs. Floors are great nice tails and gate ugly maroon interior has to go I think. I have to thank the wife for fronting the money on this one. Now I have to sell something either my 89MJ or the 99XJ thats all rusted up. Image Not Found
  18. I need a LWB 92 sending unit p/o put a XJ one in and its reading backwards.
  19. I bought one to start out it does weld I am not a pro and had a rough time welding on a 4.0 exhaust Manifold for practice. My buddy tried it and knows how to weld and did make it work ok but he put some holes in it also. He tried some sheetmetal and could not do it as it just burned thru. He has a hobart he has close to $1000.00 that a dream but thats big money. If I had it to do again I would have bought one that would take the bottle and for all I will ever use it the HF that takes gas would have been fine. Buy what you can afford but do try to get one that will take the bottle. I do have my eye on a miller shopmaster that a local stoner up the road has and he has been selling everything he owns cheap to fund his new hobby. Looks like new if its under a grand I am going for it.
  20. Must be a cosmic type thing mine get funny when I mention looking at another MJ. Just tonight I found a 92 4x4 thats look really nice I was just goofing with her when she said take he money she has put away and go get it.
  21. I deleted the link wife says take her money and go buy it sorry guys will post back.
  22. I just emailed the pics of the JCR stuff to a fab shop thats about 3 hours away from me. He said he would and could do both the sliders for $300.00 and bumper $300.00. If I had ended up with the stuff that was for sale ( who did ?) that was the first thing I would have done is had him do exact copys. He will need my truck so maybe later in the spring I will leave it with him so he can get something made. I directed him to the Club also so he can sell direct and get input. Maybe it will work out??
