Tried to check the fluid in the ax15 today. Fill plug stuck. So I've read you can add fluid through the shift plate. How do you guys go about removing those 4bolts? Thanks in advance for the replies.

Checked out the site still not sure. The ends that are bad connect to what moog calls the "sleeve" part number moog-ds1045s. What's the part numbers for the ends that connect to that? Will the ends still fit if I have a stock "sleeve". How can I tell if the componets are stock or not? Truck is pretty built but not sure what the previous owner did on the steering. Kinda strapped for cash and want to eliminate this problem before it breaks on me while I'm driving. Should I stop driving it? If try to twist it it will move about a quarter inch either way on both ends. Thanks agian.

How's it fellas. My tie rod has alot of play in it I assume it should not. Tried ordering new ends through the local store but got the wrong ones. You guys know the part numbers for the tie rod ends? Stock front Dana with 5in lift. Is the number on the face of the stud the part number? Also notice it's starting to run crappy when it heats up. Revs fine when parked but struggles and ticks under load. Sounds like exhaust leak but only happens when it heats up. I would think it would be worse when cold if was exhaust. Appreciate all replies.

How's it fellas and aloha from Molokai. Wanted to throw in if your belt is squeeling check your harmonic balancer first. Easy to inspect just check for flushness of the two peices if separated at all time to change. Don't throw money at other stuff. Simple change even for newbie. Make sure the puller comes with 5/16in bolts not 3/8 or you will be taking a trip to buy some smaller puller bolts. You don't have to pull radiator. Also thanks to all the people who run and share info on this site helped me out a bunch of times. Aloha Ryan

Did any of the 35s have a rubber plug instead of the threaded plug? Or could you pop the rubber plug into the threaded hole? Thats a good way to id the cryco -
Well thanks everyone for the advice. I feel kind of stupid as the problem was the flasher. For some reason i thought the blinkers and hazards ran off the same flasher. Well it doesent problem solved. Had some bad connections at the fuse block and now dome light and heater work agian not that ill ever need the heater but hey its nice to have everything work. Thanks again fellas.

Ok after my first post i began tinkering. Magically the hazards started working. F/R L/R lights blinked and dash turn indicators flash. So my problem is between the lever and the fuse box correct? Wouldent be a ground or a bulb issue if they all work with the hazards correct. Wondering if i should pull the steering shroud to have a look there. Read in previous search to test the harness for 12v at the l pin, is this worth it or you guys think the problem is somewhere else? BTW under the dash is like a rats nest wired up with switches for 3 sets of KC lights, alarm, and after market stereo all kinds of loose wires not going anywhere very hard to chase anything. Thanks again fellas all info greatly appreciated.

Hows it fellas. Hope you guys can give me some advice on some electrical issues. First off 87 comanche. Headlights, dash indicators, radio all work. Brake lights, turn signals F/R L/R, Back up lights, Dome light, heater, turn indicators all don't work. When i turn on the hazards i hear the flasher clicks about five times and stops no lights f/r work with the hazards. Plz help have to get it saftey checked to renew registration. Thanks fellas all info will help. Let me know if you need more info.

For you teriyaki fans out there. Take back straps cut into 1/4 inch slices. Mix 1 cup soy sauce to 1 cup brown sugar, pinch of minced garlic, pinch of ginger soak cut peices 2 days covered in fridge pan fry with onions or bbq serve with white rice and whatever else. can add less sugar all to taste. I usally mix the sauce first adding more of each until i get it to where i like it then add the meat. Got some on the final day of soak time right now deer meat for dinner tonight. We have Axis deer over here. Best vension ive ever eaten. Year around season, its an invasive speices so every deer we kill is one less doing damage to the forest.

Death wobble question.

bias ply tires also will make a truck do a shimmy during the right conditions. My Friends 77 gmc short box would do this after he installed a set of baja claws. Never knew what caused it until he sold me the tires and i put them on my 78 blazer and all of a sudden i had the same problem. -

Locking Hubs or not?
Comanchero87 replied to Comanchero87's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm not sure it does i have to pop the pumpkin and look. The owner gave me a "air locker" with it and said the mechanic said it has one and he had um take it out when they put the new shaft. Well turns out its a posi lock. Real mixed signals don't know if he was trying to hide something or he just doesent know what hes talking about. So who knows whats in it. I know when its in 4lo and crawlin i can't make either tire spin she just grabs and crawls. Either way I'm happy with my new truck. No info on the sway disconnects? -

Locking Hubs or not?
Comanchero87 replied to Comanchero87's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks fellas for the compliments. It already has the one peice axle shaft in the front. So all i need is the hub kit correct? Its my daily driver so would like to loose the popping on turns and axle vibes on highway. Does anyone run a similar set up with the one peice shaft locked in at all times and drive um highway? It has the 231 i looked. No one has any problems with there sway bar disconnects? Try look at that pic at how mean the angle of the sway bar is, are your guys ones like this? What you guys think its worth $ take a guess. Mahalo ryan -

Locking Hubs or not?

Aloha from hawaii fellas. Just joined awsome site lots of info. I'm a proud new owner of a 87 comanche, 4.0, d30/d35 solid shaft up front, 5spd, 5in rancho. Did a couple searches on locking hubs had lots of info for axles equipped with the cad not much about solid conversions. Anyone run locking hubs on there converted d30s? Ive heard that the only draw back is the spinning front d/s. But me I'm sitting high on 33s with a 5in lift, i did not know to ask if the front d/s had been extended, case dropped, pinion angle correction. The old owner wasent real informative he kept saying it was full time 4wd but its not and that it has lockers. She pops and girgles pretty good around slow corners so I'm thinking it does have a locker. so would it be a good idea to throw a set of locking hubs on? Also anyone have any problems with there swaybar disconnects banging there inner fenders over speed bumbs? I think they are the wrong ones. Thanks in advance fellas Mahalo and Aloha Ryan
