  1. Cool, thanks. :clapping:
  2. The local junk yard has a sale on seats and interior pieces. So I bought a pair of XJ buckets in blue and the center console. Also found it had the steering coloumn with tilt wheel, intermitten wipers and dealer installed cruise control. I managed to get all of the dealer installed cruise control all the way down to the piece that mounts to the tranny for the speedo cable. All for $110.00 Image Not Found Image Not Found
  3. What model and year please? :huh???:
  4. I find them trashed and torn apart in the junk yard. Whay or why are they trashed? What are people trying to get out of them? The mercury?

    Mj road trip.

On Jan 17th, my wife and I will be taking an early vacation to Disneyland California. Then up to San Francisco, Windsor and then home. So we will be gone for 9 days or so. I'm planning on driving the MJ to see how it will do on the open road. Also to see if I have any problems as well because we would like to do a two week trip to Washington D.C. later in 2009. So I was wondering where everyone lives so I can plot it out on a map so if I get into trouble I can find some help. Maybe we can set up a get together as well.
  15. Crap, sounds like you live in a rough neighbor hood. Rig the truck with explosives :headpop: and put a warning label on it. Then get it fullly insured.
  16. Another Idea is that under the gear shift console there is a spare lite plug. I asume its for the automatic lite. I thought of using it to lite the holder some way. Maybe use the lite from the ashtray or the lite from the cigerate liter and atatch it to the holder some how. :dunno:
  17. I made this one and you can use my pattern if you want to. Please note though, I am 6'5" so my bench seat is all the way back, so I don't move the seat. Image Not Found Material used; 4. 3" long stainless machine screws. 8. each 1/4" flat washers, lock washers, aand nuts. 4. 1/4" T nuts 1/2" plywood Print this out for a 8.5x11 paper. Image Not Found Image Not Found I was thinking if I had one of those steering wheels that came with tilt that has the allen head screws. That I would go to fastnall and get that style of screw for the cup holder to match.
  18. Cool, another restomod thread. Looks like you have alot on your plate, so take it one day at a time.
  19. First, Welcome to Comanche Club. I also have a long bed MJ but mine is a 86. Second, I sugest that you remove your rear bumper and figure out how it mounts. Then take photos and measurements then go to your local junkyard with that info and find out what fits. I have a steel step bumper that came with it when I bought it. I also wanted to make a better one but i have a shell on mine now so it will stay. Its my next thing to be powder coated. You can see mine here in Mj projects viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12756
  20. Yea that an idea, thanks.
  21. This brush or bull guard? I want to try to find the side pieces that cover the headlite areas and have them powdered coated the same color. Image Not Found Thanks for any help that you can send my way.
  22. Looks great. I like seeing MJ's earning their keep.
  23. If you look at my first pic, you will see that it came with the truck when I bought it. So I have no clue where to get a replacement. What I'm looking for are the side pieces to cover the rest of the grill.
  24. Sorry its late, but I hope everyone had a great CHRISTmas. God Bless
