Does your shifter hit the CB when you shift? -
I have just been trying to get ideas of where people have placed there CBs. If some people could show what they have done, It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

TheDirtyJeep401 replied to TheDirtyJeep401's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I haven't checked the bolts or the hoses, but i will look. I did replace the spark plugs but am planning to buy new wires and a cap soon. -
I don't know about you guys but some times do you think that you can have to many projects? Just wondering if anyone else is loaded down with a lot of projects. Its just a hard time trying to decide which one to work on first.

Hard Start Up In The Morning
TheDirtyJeep401 replied to TheDirtyJeep401's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Mine dosent have an electrical fan. And ill have to look at the coolant sensor -
When I start my truck in the morning or in the cold it starts up but you have to give it some gas in order for it to not die. Also the transmission is also harder to shift when it has been sitting or is cold, but when it warms up, its fine. Just trying to see if i can just easily fix this or not. Thanks

Got the new alternator in, ill put pics up soon. Its the only shiny thing under the hood :laughin: I have way to many projects now :D got another but this one is pretty important. Still gonna work on the MJ though its gonna be slow getting parts for it. It needs a lot more love (And me and this car go back aways)

Yeah, its a real bummer. I keep on wanting to get aftermarket stuff for it but with me trying to find a job, and constanly replacing parts. I only can doe some of that a little at a time. Hopefullt I get a job soon :crossfingers: Because when i get what i want on this, I'm going to see if i can get my parents 68 AMX to fix up(I love AMCs) but your not always done with a project. even though you think you are.

If I remeber corecctly, there was a few around my area. I even remeber seeing one that was an old mail jeep and it was a right hand drive. Never seen an XJ right side driver, but look on Cragslist (Althought there are some worthless ones on there form bad Previous Owners) . I'm on there a lot and if I see anything a long those lines, ill let you know or if i see one in town for sale.

It was bad on the roads today, almost got blown off the road 4 or 5 times fightin the wind and snow and ice, and stupid people that think their invincible in this weather. What happened to spring? Just the other day it was hot enough for me to wash and wax my truck.

Buying Jeep Comanche
TheDirtyJeep401 replied to robbie95's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That kind of depends on the use of the MJ, like if it is going to be a daily driver or project, or maybe both. but these are the things id look for: If its a Daily driver look/check for Rust (floorboards, rocker panels, body damage etc) Lights, at least make sure that the electrical works, light bulbs are easily replaced Gauges believe me, you want your fuel gauge and spedometer Clutch/Transmission, make sure the clutch actually works(If its a standard), and that all gears work properly Check under the hood, see if they have torn the crap out of it or if it was well maintained. Basically in the end, if you see or know whats wrong with it and you believe you can put the money into it to get it the way you want it, thats your choice. But if you don't think that its something worth dealing with, I wouldn't mess with it. But if you do find the one, good luck and have fun, they are good trucks!!!! . :MJ 1: . -
Speedometer Bobbing After 65
TheDirtyJeep401 replied to TheDirtyJeep401's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Ill have to check it out someday, nothin really big just wanted to know. Thanks -
Ok so ever since i bought my MJ it has done this, once i hit 65 mph, it starts to bobb up and down. Its like its trying to say you are somewhere in this general area of speed. Its not really a immediate fix, but just for when i get to it, (Someday)
