:hijack: sorry for the hijack, but I'm also having issues with my taillights, reverse lights to be specific. bulbs and fuse are good brake lights work fine as well as when the lights are on .......... sorta lost figured you all could fix two mj's in the same thread thanks all again sorry for the hijack :chillin: :dunno:

Well today I glued my rear view mirror back on.... last night I wired in a new radio/cd/mp3 player...........Drove it to work today for the first time in 9 months...........need to find some mud!!

Ok well i was mistaken ...He pulled an engine out of a cherokee in a junk yard that had been crashed....he said that the xj had 46,000 mi on it so god only knows. Its another long bed :ack: .....I was hoping to find a short bed for my 2nd mj, but I guess that gives me an reason to find a 3rd one :brows:

Well went and looked at the little mj over the weekend...........POS decided it wasnt woth getting back to my house..... rear window was broke out....... missing steering colum........missing engine parts........found the fuel pump filter in the cab .............interior was trashed........ the other side of the truck was rust everywhere...... if you look close on the pic you can see the rust on the bottom of the door........ pukegoat trans :ack: ...........tires were flat with missmatch rims........ I did buy the tail lights off of it........... and took some misc fuses...... wiper breaker....intermitten wiper switch .............. warning chime......... so not a total loss...... :yes:

registered it $156.00 perment. Put insurance on it........ 12.00 extra a month :cheers: she is legal YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS finally going to drive it on the street tonight.....

Well yesterday after work I put my dash back together. I installed a new clutch master, and took it for a drive for the first time in ........forever :cheers: Man i love my MJ Oh Oh Oh and the day before i installed a new used speedo cable ........... 1989 xj with cruse had a cable that works great ! lucky find :popcorn:

Ok found the metal fuse wipers work great now...... The only thing left is I need a good radio, bumper (rear), and a rear main seal. then its all cherry baby!!! . Feels so good to have the mj going again thanks for all the help guys..... this site made it all possible :brows: :wavey: :wavey:

yea i went over the whole harnesss and fixed all the loose ends.....I am missing that fuse so i think ill start there...... :doh:

Mine works with out the washer pump in. Did you check the metal fuse on the bottom of the fuse box? Also check the black box for the intermittent wiper control - I think it sits on the lower dash valance with Velcro. metal fuse on the bottom of fuse box!!!!!!! picture please

thanks jeff.... and yea its that harness.........there are some questionable wires one which i found to be hot that had been cut ....... orange/black wire???? Donno hope i figure it out soon....

Ok so I just installed a new under the dash wiring harness and my wipers don't work......I'm not sure that the harness is causing the problem though......... Just need some ideas or advise on how to pin point the problem and fix it. also does the washer fluid pump need to be hooked up for the wipers to work?????? I just don't know where to start looking. so far I used my multi meter in the fuse box and jumbled the harness around the reading didnt change?????????? . .HELP :dunno: thanks all :cheers:

Its missing the steering column.... can i put one from an xj in it??

thats what I'm thinking to.... DMV no help at all. I was just going to use it as a doner truck, but my wife says i should fix it up too :brows: So I would have to get it registered
