  1. I use a valve core remover, its much cheaper.
  2. 96-98 ZJ leather seats: 98 5.9 seats:
  3. I'm not talking about painting the plastics, you would want smooth end caps and flares for that, rather I am talking about repainting the flares, end caps, and bumpers satin black(like they were OEM). I like the contrast of the black bumpers and end caps with a bright color. But thats me.(did I mention I was partial to yellow and red?)
  4. yuck. I also am not a big fan of body colored bumpers on brighter colors, the black end caps break them up way too much.

    Boozahol:

This is the start of a new still: The way it works is that the top portion here is a 12" section that will have a condenser coiled up inside it, at the bottom, where the threaded fitting is, will be the takeoff plates and outlet line. By putting the threaded male and female fittings between the condenser and the reflux column, and then the reflux column and the pot we can have a reflux column that is removable, meaning it can also be run as a pot still. To attach to the pot we will be using a sink strainer which will then have the nut welded or soldered to the lower pipe fitting: Here you can see the copper to copper fittings, the strainer side fittings, and the setup attached to the vinyl tube is what will provide cooling water. This will connect to a standard 3/4 fitting like your garden hose or cloths washer uses. I have an un-utilized washer utilities area in my basement that will be where the still is kept. Cold cooling water from the washer hookup will be circulated through the coil at the top of the condenser and then dumped down the washer drain.
  6. The TJ D44 front is barely an upgrade over the D30. Has the same stub shafts, unit bearings, etc, and has a low pinion 44 center section. A JK D44 front would be a better upgrade, keep an eye on craigslist, your more likely to find a JK D44 front than you are a TJ, and it will likely be cheaper too, though you will probably have to travel for either front axle.
  7. Taken my 300zx Twin Turbo up and down that road several times. Just never had a camera in the vehicle with me. I need one of those go-pro camera's and mount it up on the right front bumper sticking out a foot and then run the road.
  8. Yup I've put washers to space the hing up. But something else is going on if its catching on the wiper cowl, check to make sure the cowl is actually sitting flush like it needs to.
  9. My local place sells by the foot, cut charge too.
  10. Sounds like yellow is a good choice for you then. There is also the TJ electric lime green:
  11. Hey now! I've drove that road many times with no swaybars and aired down! :rotf: (Even in Texas people can't stay on their side of the line!) I was referring to the Texan in the 2WD suburban that wants to play chicken with me.
  12. I would paint it red or yellow, with a chrome grill, black bumpers, black end caps, and black fender flares.
  13. Called it.
  14. There's one on eBay right now that matches this description. Wow, that might actually be one of the limited editions... There looks like special logos above the taillights, but there's no up close pic. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e11030.m43.l1123/7?euid=279162b660684629ae8377cfc28460e7&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Febaymotors%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D250799477881%26ssPageName%3DADME%3AB%3AEF%3AMOTORS%3A1123 Unfortunately I can't seem to contact the seller and ask for a better picture. Hmm, boulder, that aint too far from me. Bidding sure has been driven WAY up there.
  15. No Kidding. FEA is cake compared to CFD modeling, worst I ever run into with FEA is me giving up on the model and starting over again.
  16. Ya, you know an engineer when you see one: When I was building the motor mounts for the CRD swap I whipped up a little ProE and did a failure analysis. I looked at it a 50MPH impact to a dead stop.......motor mounts held up fine.
  17. I think black bear is overrated, don't get me wrong its nice, but I think there are prettier and nicer trails around the area. Corkscrew gulch, hurricane pass, and california pass are one of my favorites. Yup stoney pass is nice, and often overlooked. Used to have some family friends who owned a ranch down that way - off of the lake city side, it was a little ways before the reservoir when coming from the silverton side. I keep wanting to go back and check out kite lake off of stony pass, I've never been there: http://goo.gl/maps/vllt I've done so many trails and explored little side trails down around ouray that I think I need to write a guide book or give tours, I know each trail like the back of my hand, need to find a way to monetize on the things I love.
  18. First time I've ever stuck around for 4th of July, usually I'm out there for labor day every year, I could tell it was earlier in the season because there was more snow than I was used to.
  19. its a good one to put on that list
  20. It's not the incline, its the 800 foot drop off on the opposite lane that sends white knuckled texans over the double yellow line into mine.
  21. Driving down the million dollar highway in ouray co: iEzV4FJzpec
  22. Full gallery located here: http://colorado4wheel.com/images/ouray/ouray_july4_10/index.html But here are a few of the many taken: A little cobound, he kept changing his mind about which super hero to be(must take after dad), here he is being spiderman:
  23. I'll build you one with a 97+ interior and a 360 Magnum for $15,000. Johnny is this a real one? :wavey: Looks like the prototype '84 Comanche which came out with the XJ, but was only I trial run. It has the first run badges, and the gap is wrong between the cab and bed. But it was the trial run... So thats why the cab looks more XJ than MJ. Must be one of the prototypes. Rob Looks like a low quality photoshop to me. Maybe more like MS paint.
  24. And the 8.25 has a stronger case than the D44.
