  2. I've had a miller cricket for many years the original instructions say 1/4" and the ajustment on the machine shows it,There sold under a different name now but any miller dealer should know what your askin for.It runs whell on 110 even on the end of a long ext.cord,we've even run it off a too small generator and it still worked!Good luck. :D
  3. On the cheep just weld it run it till you find the funds or a deal you can live with!
  4. With the d35 run less agresive tires and higher air pressure and it will be fine it needs to slip some were or it will break! :D
  5. Do soa,You'l gain lift and retain flex you can ajust your spring pack for the best compromise between ride/axle rap or ad a traction link?I did mine for max flex. But on a street/offroad truck it would have to bee a little stiffer :D
  6. Good use of surplus parts I love it!
  7. Thats a cool 1st comanche! was it just like that, tires, lift ect.. looking good!
  8. Water pumps are pressed together and can sometimes be slightly off[monday?] take it back and compair it to another or if you have access to a press just move the pulley mount flange.Good luck!

I try to aviod travel here in the NE! so this will be a stay home and catch up weekend?many things to do along with a bbq this afternoon! to start I'm working on dissasembling an old cabover camper[the only way to get rid of one}so I'll put most of it out for trash and scrap what I can, then I'll work on my tow rig{'89 f350 4dr 4x4}last trip the front tank would'nt draw on inspection the fule lines on top of the tank were rusted out! any way got another tank?pump ect...,thenI'll put the crabbin' boat back together{19'carolina/55hp tiller} I have to put the lower unit back on after a new w/p,hopfully by sun mornin'I'll be able to jump on the daulsport bike and head out to warton SF for some R&R.of course I'll play in the back yard with the MJ wen I get a chance![I'mg][/img]
  12. At least it has the "good" motor
  13. I've used that same "track bar fix" many times on well abused fords with good results.Question; wats wrong with the mini spool,I was thinking of using one in the waggy axles I'm preping for my truck? should I go for full spools or just weld the stock spiders[thats what I have now with stock axles]after all I only have the"crappy"2.8 and don't plan an engine swap? :D

  17. Maby this is too simple but I chased a problem like this last year I almost got into the motor I'm 50 yr old mechanic,my pop says to open the hood in the dark lowand behold the wires were bad lite show all over theay looked great but were badd ???
  18. Yea South Jersey a differn't state of mind than" joisey", The hood was like that wen I got it along with a ton of other stuff I blacked out but everyone around here likes that part so I left it for now?? :brows:
  19. Hey! thanks pete I got a envolope the other day as I opened it I'm scratching my head thinking who? do I know in MI???any ways nice thanks again.
  20. YO! awsome build dude!
  21. Long bed bobed is corect,go to mj projects for more pic's under yard truck turned rock crawler.
  22. raush creek,'07 before big red!
  23. The bed was only shortened after the rear wheels, between the wheels and cab is stock,I was carefull to cut where the body lines would match and only the rear most bed mount was eliminated,I have a small 110 volt mig that I welded it back together with about 2" at a time skipping 2" in between coming back to fill in later after it cooled down.More body work will be done, but not to any extreem,I won't trash the body either! I also did a spring over in back eliminating a stiff add a leaf installed by the previous owner. That alone added a lot of flex! at the same time I removed the rear shocks some of the guys around here run xj's on the street without shocks? seams to work any way I also removed the front sway bar and boxed the front control arms for added strenth. The truck allready had 3" lift on it when I got it,other mods include the battery moved to the bed the factory rollbar moded for added strenth, welded front&rear diffs, welded axle disconnect, removed all emmsions controls& unesscary vacume systems from engine{I wish I had before and after pics of engine} Future mods include Waggyd44's,bigger tires, new red paint
