Thanks, I appreciate the info. I don't have access to a signal generator. I think I can get by using an o-scope or the hz function on the dvm. Sounds like I could have used the one from a 2.5.

I Believe so, don't have anything to back that up tho. I assumed 90 and older 6 would have been compatible. And the 4 would not have been accurate on my 2.8. I'll keep researching it.

Does it have an adjustment on the back, either a resistor or potentiometer of some sort?

Thanks, so far all I have seen have been 91 and newer. Didn't think about the mileage, will do that when I find one. I think it's two Sending units that need swapped from what I read, the oil and temp.

I have the same unused pink wire, I believe one of the other posts stated it was for the dome light. I don have a dome light, just b-billar lights so its an unused connector in mine. Not sure about the ground. -
