  1. So my friends and I late one night got the terrible Idea to fab up a new bumper for my truck. We took a stock JK bumper that I had gotten for free and my old destroyed bumper, hacked off the crooked mounts, made some rough measurements, a couple $#!&ty welds (using flux) later, and BOOM, $#!&ty custom bumper  . I honestly think it turned out not so bad, I mean it could be worse right? lol
  2. Its lifted 5in so it would be kinda hard to use stock height leaf packs lol. Thanks though!
  3. I was more looking for some sort of a stiffener for thw leaf pack rather than a coil
  4. Ok,so my centerpin for my leaf spring on my passenger side decided it doesnt want to do its job anymore and the head sheared off. I figured since I'm gonna have to pull my leaf packs off Id install some helper springs or some stiffeners or something since my truck likes to sag on the driver side when ive got a full tank of gas, any suggestions on what i should use?
  5. Lol I wish I woulda got some but I didnt find her til the morning and she was already bloated. Indian reservation s get first dibs and if they don't want it its yours. I went through f&g to find that out
  6. Swapping those did the trick! Thank you all so much for all the help! Much appreciated!
  7. How do I do that? I don't know much about electrical I appreciate the help a lot you guys have given me.
  8. Ok so I replaced the sockets and the passenger side blinker works perfect. But the driver side light up and doesnt flash. But itll flash when the hazards are on.... any suggestions now?
  9. Cleaning the connectors was the first thing I tried to start out with.
  10. Running lights work. Headlights work.. The sockets look extremely coroded and apear to have been replaced before. Would it be my best bet to go ahead and replace those?
  11. Try backflushing your heater core. Its very easy to do. Just take any old hose and spray water through it reverse the way it goes through. Or if youd like take an air gun and seal it on the outlet of the heater core and just blast air through there. If theres any blockage that should clear it up.
  12. I hit an elk with my MJ and I finished doing all the body work but it smashed the header panel. I replaced it along with the wiring harness thats attached to it. But now for some odd reason the front turn signals refuse to work. Replaced the bulbs with the standard ones. Is there a chance the housings could be messed up or what do you guys think? Any suggestions?
  13. I have a 88 MJ 4.0 5spd manual (BA-10) and a np231 transfer case. The cap does make a hissing noise but its always done that and never caused any problems. I'm using a used radiator which I assumed in perfect working condition.I have a new one on order and I'm hoping that will solve my issues. I did not loosen the temp sending unit but I will do so when I replace the radiator.
  14. That write up helped a lot! Thank you!
  15. My radiator got punctured (did not drive without coolant in it) and I replaced it, refilled it. Ive flushed my coolant several times before so I know how to do that. But now its running a little hot. Maybe 10-20 degrees. Nothing too terrible but I don't want to drive it like that. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
  16. So my multiswitch is all sorts of messed up and I need to replace it. I was wondering if anyone has a write up or any advice on how to do it? Ive only got the steering wheel off so far.
  17. I have power at the plug, (i used a multimeter). AND, it appears the blower "dun did dead". The bottom vacuum hose came off of the motor and it sucked in a bunch of dirt and destroyed it. Thanks for all the help everyone!
  18. So, my blower motor decided to stop working (just in time for winter). Fuse is good. Replaced it just in case.I even went through and cleaned all the grime out of the fuse block. Still doesn't work. Then I took the heater control assembly out of the dash and checked the connections. Aaaand still no luck. What are the chances it is actually the the blower motor that went bad? or is it more likely something else? any advice would be greatly appreciated as it is 20*F where I live right now and its impossible to drive without the blower working.
  19. The new axle I got is out of 87 comanche that is a parts vehicle on my fathers property. I'm also getting all new control arms so to me it makes sense to just replace the axle and control arms all at once sense this one is giving me troubles. When i put on my new control arms and axle I will also adjust my tracbar. If my tracbar isnt adjusted correctly it still wouldnt explain the noises I am hearing.
  20. Yes I do have a lift and an adjustable trac bar. The axle we be replaced next weekend (got a functioning axle for free!) When it gets pulled out I'll take it apart and find the real story behind my problems.
  21. Well my front wheels won't engage into 4 wheel drive. My guess is that the axle needs a complete rebuild
  22. It only clicks when you start moving. U-joints are all good. You can see on the drivers side the tire sticks out noticably more than the passenger side.
  23. Check your clutch line. The line rubs on the frame and mine wore a hole through it. Same thing happened to my fathers. If its your slave it will feel spongy but still have good presure.
  24. So my front half shaft on the drivers side apears to have walked out a good couple centimeters. Anyone heard of this happening before? It makes a terrible clicking noise when you start moving from a stop.
  25. Are any modifications required or should it mount straight up?
