Nope, no lawsuit. I know the person that hit me, and she's the grandmother of one of my daughter's friends. No chiropractor needed either. She pushed the rear end sideways, as I was turning with the front of the truck already moving in that direction at about the same speed. I didn't even feel the impact (nor did my daughter). Pretty much what went through my head was "WTF, why am I going sideways instead of turning?" My insurance company will act as a lawyer on my behalf, she was found at fault and was cited for failure to yield, so her insurance is paying for it. Yes, I expect the other insurance company will try to total out my truck. I'm going to try to keep it, without a title transfer, so it will stay a clear title. If they do take it and I have to buy it back, the salvage title may not affect me, as I can keep renewing the plates off the current registration. It just limits my options if I'd try to sell it in the future. I'll know more after I talk with the adjuster, hopefully some time today.

Wildman: I need to talk to the insurance adjuster and body shop first, but I probably will be interested, as well as a d-side tail light lens, if you have one. I'll pm you when I figure it out. But I still lack the tools to weld it on, for the time being. Then again, body shops are using epoxy more and more often to glue on rust patch panels, instead of welding them... Lostissues: Yes, that is how it happened. And everyone else: No, that's not a 13/16 spark plug socket. That's a leaf spring quick disconnect. :D And Wade: I forgot about that. That's where Jeepco got hit, wasn't it?

I thought the pictures pretty much told the story. I started to turn into the alley and never noticed she went through the stop sign without so much as slowing down. As I was in the middle of the turn she hit and pushed my @$$ end sideways at the same speed my front was going. Messed up the back corner of the bed pretty good. Tail gate still works, but it is being pinched at the bottom, and almost loose enough to not latch on top. Also, if you look carefully in the last 2 photos you can see my leaf spring quick disconnect. It has now survived a few thousand miles of driving, a day off road and an accident and is still there.

What, you *still* haven't bought this thing yet???

I don't drink coffee, but still need my caffeine. I start the morning with a 32oz (about a liter) mug of tea, drink Mountain Dew at work (for those Canadian readers among you, Mountain Dew in the States has caffeine. LOTS of caffeine), and another 32oz mug of tea after work. One day, I went to Canada solo after working a full day on Friday to pick up my kids who had spent the week with my parents and aunt and uncle. Had been up since 5am and wouldn't be arriving until after 1am before I could go to bed, so I made a thermos of tea, on top of my normal after work mug, both using double the usual amount of tea. About halfway there I stopped at a public restroom only to realize as I got out of the car I was high as a kite. Only time ever I got high off caffeine. Not even in high school living on Jolt Cola for a week did that happen.

Who will be my friend and give me a 44 or 8.25? :D

All I know is my 87 Pioneer 4.0 4x4 has full gauges minus tach, with the AW4. It also has buckets and a full console. (And black interior )

Thanks guys. The consensus seems to be 3", no more.

I run a 1.75" spacer in the front right now, as I don't lake the raked look on a 4x4. That should be reserved for a 2wd truck. But when I went to badlands last July I decided I need more lift and would like larger tires. I can't afford both at the same time, so I'd have to get the lift first, then the tires. My current tires only have 4000 miles on them, it would be a shame to get rid of them as I don't have another vehicle using that size tire (Suburban uses 285/75R16), and off road every 1/16 tread will help, so I really don't want to get used tires.

hello'm new and I have a 90 Eliminator

Yeah, it smells kinda funny... Welcome to the club! -
In your opinion, what's the largest amount of lift that will still look okay with 29" tires (235/75R15) without the tires looking too small under the vehicle? Income tax should allow me to lift my truck next spring, but new tires are going to be out of the budget for at least a year after.

With there being different stock ride heights, depending on 2wd/4wd/MT package, does anyone know the center of wheel to fender flare measurement for the Motion Offroad MJ 3" lift leaf springs? 4.5" springs?

In the video it went from 200 km/h to 300km/h (~125 to ~187 mph) in 9.3 seconds I would kill myself in that thing. I know from experience what happens to my common sense in cases like that. Almost died twice on a dirt bike and once on a street bike, as well as my '79 F100 with a "slightly" modified 351. My solution: don't ever again buy anything with enough hp to go that fast or enough torque to accelerate up a jump and fly 30' high. So I've owned a 1.6l Geo Prizm (rebadged Corolla), and currently own a dog of a Suburban (low end torque, ~200hp, 6000 pounds dry) and the 4.0 MJ. And said MJ is about the max hp/weight ratio I want to own. But what a way that would be to go...

Okay, I talked him into waiting 'til October, so we'll be at the Fall Crawl. Looking forward to seeing you guys again (and meet others).
-
I thought I went to the CC Pow Wow. Had never heard of GLXJ until I got there :D Another plus is that by waiting 'till October (either first weekend or later) my other daughter (Sarah's older sister) might be able to make it. Heck, I might make her drive so I can take pictures.
-
I'll run it by him, and see if he can hold off that long. He wanted to go this coming weekend, but I had plans already :D The Fall Crawl might also work. At least that works out better for me. But isn't that for supporting members only?

After showing my coworkers the pictures from the July Badlands trip, one of them decided he wants to get into offroading. So he finally found a Cherokee with a 3" lift and 31" tires and bought it. Now he's itching to go to Badlands. We are tentatively planning to go September 13, but that might still change. His new 90 Cherokee, my 87 Comanche, possibly a buddy in a ZR2 S10. Anybody else wanting to come along/join us? Pete, got your truck together yet?

http://www.precisionautoinjectors.com/p ... roductId=7 Thanks to one of the members on this site, you can use discount code "JEEP" to get 10% off. -
I didn't have enough space to get a socket in, but a wrench will fit. Either 3/4" or 19mm. Either will work, and I don't know which one is "correct".

Add the spacers you have, and the control arms. With longer lcas, you should get longer ucas as well, or your alignment will be off due to the axle being rotated backwards.

My 2wd drives like @#$^&*&^%#$#$@

In my case the only way I could keep it from spinning was to jack up the front of the truck by it. -
Forget the hog, I want that trailer in the background.

Anything is possible. It all depends on how much fabrication you want to do.
