    stolen mj

he found it but did not take it back. the vin tag was messed with a bit so he decided he did not want to find out what they did to it. saw this on naxja IIRC. shame too since it was mint. Alex
  2. the d44 was offered in metric tonne packages from 87-92. the amc 20 was offered in 86. you can also get a xj d44 and do minor mods to make it fit. or if you want to step ot up get some full-size waggy d44s or get a ford 8.8 with discs for the rear out of an exploder. all but the mjs ones will require minor mods. yea we went over this once about how childish they are in the mag and stuff. i might try to get my 91 in the mag and then i might be done. even though they do have a comanche and no other mag does, they still don't do enough with it that we here can't do. plus don't you think that any other jeep owner would know that if you own a jeep, you are broke. and it makes it worse if you have a girl also. and i am still waiting for that gladiator since i can't find an older one in good enough shape. :chillin: Alex
  4. but I'm not complaining much since i can test out the tires i got for xmas. Alex
  5. i figured out my problem and took care of it by putting longer bolts in on each side to stop it from turning too far. might still add the extra few inches from the spacers and get new control arms and everything in the future. plus by doing it this way instead of getting wheel spacers or something i won't have to worry for when i stick mud tires on the original eliminator rims. and as for the axle being off center, rob fixed that when he lifted it i think. it was rubbing on both sides, but who knows. now all i need with these new tires are some mud flaps or some factory running boards i am going to try and get off a guy down the road from me. he has a mj that just sits in his drive, been sittin there for 10yrs or more. really good shape still but i am not sure if it runs. he is an older guy and if he will sell the truck i will take some pics and post em up. Alex
  6. i will look in the morning for those "steering stops" and see what that does. also i will try and get some pics up of the truck before and after. looks much better now. sits higher then my dads silverado and very close to our monster k-10 farm truck. i had 235s on before i got the 31"s and they didnt rub. and my 86 had 235s and it didnt rub. then again it might be the rims. my 86 had the steel wagon rims and my 91 has canyons. Alex
  7. ok so i just got some new 31" dayton a/t tires put on my 91. and they turned out to be a tad more aggressive then i thought, which is actually a good thing which i really like. anyways, they rub when i turn the wheel all the way. was just wondering if anyone on here knows what i can do to fix that. i have heard that i can put some washers or something somewhere to prevent the wheels from turning that far. but i am not sure what it is they were talking about since i was not really paying attention when they were talking about this. i also have some 1 3/4" skyjacker spacers that i could add above the coils. which way would be easier/work better? the truck already has a 3" lift on it so i am not sure which to do or if both would work or what. thanks. Alex
  8. i like the looks of the summit kit more. i like the LED brake light on their tailgate and the windows on the rear corners of the cab hard top to eliminate blind spots better. i think i would rather by one that is already done from an old Rubi rather then do it myself. a brute or summit kit will be in my future if jeep does not make the awesome gladiator, or if cdx changes too much on the glad when it comes out i will get a kit. Alex
  9. alright will do. i am going to be getting new tires sometime this week so in my spare time i will try and get measurements and pics for ya. should be able to send it in the mail since it is small enough. Alex
  10. :agree: saw that happen on a friends truck. he coated his floorboards in his c-10 with por-15 then rhino lined and thought it would last him for the rest of his life. but his floor was gone within 5 years. the best way to cover por-15 with something so you have grip is just get a rubber mat. or put some grip tape down on top of it. just don't cover you floor with bed liner unless you take your time and COVER every inch of the floor with por-15 and make sure no factory paint or metal is showing. Alex
  11. well then I'm gonna try for that first badge. and i say get the AMC one. it would look good on any truck. and if it is the one like i have then it really is not all that big and could go on your dash or something. or if you wanted i could get you a measurement of the one i have and if you want it you could have it since my mj is no longer amc so i don't really want to use it now. Alex
  12. can i call dibs on that first one or are you going for that one Cole? and i have that third one also. mine no longer has the chrome on it but i don't care since it was off an old j-20 which i took all emblems off of. Alex
  13. so thats why a few of my gauges are backwards in my 91. o well as long as no one else uses my truck i guess. Alex
  14. i have the cup holder that was made to fit in the between the buckets in xjs and mjs with the full center arm rest and stuff. the one that goes in front of the arm rest in the big empty area. works good but does not like bottles much. Alex
  15. maxxis buckshots for mud and dayton a/ts for road. but the daytons were discontinued this month so i am going to dayton l/ts. bother work great. buckshots rock off road and the daytons do well in mud and snow. Alex
  16. well you are all going to hate me now. but i can't get the clips off my palm and onto the pc so i can't post em up. sorry guys. i will ask around and see if i can get something else off someone to record with but i don't know of anything anyone has. sorry all. Alex
  17. well the way i understand it, they have to make a screen for each design for each color of shirt. so that would mean 4 screens in all. and screens are what cost money. the shirts are cheap by the bulk. plus yes there would be a minimum order i bet. so the way this was going to be done was the top color of each design. unless there is a high enough demand for all of the colors and members don't mind paying a tad more per shirt. Alex
  18. that it is. we take pride in doing mods ourself, plus it is fun. seems most other truck owners take it to have lift kits stuck on and stuff even if it comes with everything you need. and yes it would be nice to have an ext cab mj. there is actually a place in MI that can do that for ya if ya have the money. like i said, if i ever win the lotto i will do it to mine. Alex
  19. sry for the delay guys, my new laptop has a different version of windows on it then i had on my old laptop so i am having to hunt down drivers for my card readers and stuff. seems xp drivers don't work for media center. you got me on that one. Alex
  20. uh oh. looks like the flexed one is split between colors. so maybe we can make up the flexed on both and a smaller supply of the easy to be... on the black. what do you think JohnQ? Alex

thx. i was sort of in one of my lets dis on CDX days and figured i would write in and see if it would make it in the mag. now its time to send pics of my 91 and see if it makes it. and i know. you would think that they would understand the "just empty every pocket" thing since they are not like the rest of the mags that get money thrown at them to build em and stuff. but either way its still funny and i will find a way to buy the gladiator if it comes out, as i am sure most the other members would agree. it will be the only jeep that holds true to the name in a long time. Alex
  22. Did you have a chance to get a sound clip yet? yes i did. just got my new laptop and have been trying to get it up and running. will try and post it in the next day or two. Alex
  23. i think a swb with a chrome roll bar that goes to the top of the wheel wells would be cool ;) . Alex
  24. ok well just got to thinking about this. so.... its back from the dead for a tad longer in case anyone still needs to vote. Alex
