  3. It's all the same... The Oil Co.'s own the government. one word........BUSH. I like bush... ...You see what I did there...
  4. $59 and change to fill up the MJ with 87 just now... UGGGG!
  5. But in the middle of the desert with no gas for hundreds of miles they can charge whatever the heck ever they want... you don't want to get stuck out there without gas...
  6. At the Chevron down the street, Scotts Valley, CA (south of San Jose on the north side of the Monterey Bay, about 10 miles from Beach) $3.71 for 87Oct $3.85 for 89 $3.99 for 91 I saw Diesel at another station for $4.15
  7. You mean these??? Image Not Found Yeah, that's what we call a town home/Condo community along with a $500/mth Home Owners Association Fee (above and beyond the million dollar mortgage, and not Tax Deductible)
  8. I'm my other landscape contractor finishs the prep work early this week, I'll have the new lawn either late this or early next week... I think all the kid stuff is covered...I told the guy we would stick a kiddie pool on it during the summer and he said no issues... will just need to brush it out when we drain the pool. I think the Cars on it was specificed as a warranty deal breaker, but I can't find the phamplet... As far as "cost effective", I guess that is debateable The material is about $3.70/Sq Ft...If you install it yourself... another $3.25/ Sq Ft to install. So for some $5K for fake grass is by no means "cost effective", but I figure between water, my lawn maintenance time (I'm expensive labor), I'll have a break "even" point somewhere between 6-8 years... I plan on living here forever, so in the long run... well you know... Your mileage may vary... remember I'm in Northern California, land of the Million Dollar Double Wides and $5/gal gas (well, not yet, but I've seem $3.99 for mid-grade already), so other locations might have different price scales... Will Post Pics when it's done... SW2
  9. Ok, you dudes are probably gonna laugh at me, but we just got a quote last week for Artificial Lawn surface for our back yard... the stuff LOOKS like real grass...Not that crummy Astroturf looking stuff, but REAL looking grass... we have a "mud-hole" in our back yard that is less than 800 Square feet... the drainage sucks and the grass (what there is) is horrible... My kids can't go outside and use the grass at all to play without coming in head to toe in mud, so I'm going to tear it all up and put artificial in... 25 Year Warranty, no fading, NO mowing, no watering (I will save about $30/mth during the summer by not having to water the lawn out back)... A Leaf Blower every now and then a Metal rake thing and I'm done... OK, you can laugh now...
  10. Looks Nice... I think when I get an extra Couple Benny's, I'm thinking about replacing my crusty stock one with the Warrior without the brush guard.... Would be interested in hearing how it holds up for you... http://www.quadratec.com/products/72108_1000.htm
  11. X2...and, sta3/7, your right, you have EVERY right to speak your mind, as do we all all thanks to great Americans, like yourself ,who have protected that freedom for hundreds of years. ...and while now in the Bay Area, I spent a year (a painful one), living in the Inland Empire and working down the Highway from 29Palms, and have a good number of ex-coworkers and friends from that are ex-Mil and trained there... so I am at least somewhat familiar with the area and not completely talking out of my bum...
  12. I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking along those lines. Yea I hate to see a good spot taken from the offroad community, but this is for a good reason. Our boys need all the traininng and skills they can get. And if this area can help save one life, it's worth it. :USAflag: I agree... this isn't the same thing, at least to me, as the El Dorado Forest proposed closures up in NorCal that appear to be more or less because the Forestry service is tired of dealing with the trails (I'm over simplifying of course)... I think in this care we should be able to find a happy medium... More space for the Boys @ 29 Palms to train and some trails left open for the ORV community to still enjoy. I've never had the pleasure of running Hammers, but a bunch of the guys in my 4x4Club (which I'm still the new guy) go every year and are VERY upset that this location might change/be closed. SW2
  13. You can try... http://crazedlist.org Wahoo... I saw that one listed... looks VURY nice...and to "bump", I think you have to "relist" your item everyday, or at least it seems like that's what's happening...
  14. Not a tube fan here... In fact, once I find a nice one to replace the crappy tube on mine (not that the RockRatz one is, I'm sure it's good stuff, just not crazy about the look IMHO), it will be gone... But that Pic in that link sure makes me want to lift my MJ and put on bigger tires... that's basically my MJ color/stripe combo (minus the cap)...doesn't look too bad! I love my Hanson Bumpers on my TJ and would like see something like this (without the tire carrier for the MJ's).. Of course BIG $$$
  15. With my lifters that are clacking so loud and cracks in my exhaust manny, it sounds more like a crappy running diesel right now than it does a HEMI... I think a full engine rebuild is probably in to cards sooner rather than later... I probably should be focusing on getting my engine running instead of exterior, looks modifications.... I might also drive it till it drops (I only drive 2000-3000 miles a year, so it could go a while, even in the poor condition it's in now), then go ahead and get s 4.6 Stroker (then the sticker would be cool!)... Hmmmm...
  16. Meh... seems pretty pricey for something that looks only "so-so", IMHO... SW2
  17. You mean like this? Or the one without the Black Molding and Black Flares too... I removed Pioneer and redrew the section of molding that came off the other day, assuming I glue it back on...
  18. Hey SuperWade2, If you remove the black trim can I buy the driver's side door trim from you? How about the best of both worlds and black flares? Image Not Found I see what you did there... The new wheels sure look Awful "grey" in your chop... I do like the Black flare look, not sure about the trim removal or not... I painted my TJ Flares with Krylon Fusion when they were all faded and they look awful nice still... BTW, the wife asked of I was gonna keep the stripes or not.. she said she saw a White MJ in town and it was strip less and she said she liked mine the way it was now better... Darn women....
  19. I'm thinking maybe the same thing...now that I bought both a heat gun and the Stripe erased pad/grinder thing  I might hold off on the stripe removal for now... SW2
  20. Any words of wisdom for using the Astro Eraser Wheel thingy...mine showed up this week and If i get all the other "honey-do" list stuff done, I was going to try to get started... Bout how long should I expect it to take? Thanks SW2
  21. How would you like it if people responded to your MJ questions with non-answers because they disagree with your parameters? I understand your points very well, and I knew that a bigger memory card would offer a lot, but that's why I specifically asked how to optimize what we have. I need an answer to the question I asked. To answer the question, if I were given the limitations you outlined in your original post, I would use the highest resolution and "standard" mode if it were me... Altohugh you didn't mention the total # of MegaPixals the camera has... I've seen recommendations of full 2240x1680 - 4 Megapixel to 2560x1920 - 5 Megapixel for printing full photo quality 8x10" images (which you indicated was the likely top end print size). Assuming no cropping if you had a 7/8/10 MegaPixal camera, then you could feasibly drop the resolution down a notch and still be in the 4/5mp range and be OK for 8x10 prints and therefore possibly bump the compression back up to fine and still maybe hold more pics on your 1 gb stick... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/FrameWork/c ... Popup.html http://www.wfu.edu/~matthews/misc/graph ... sComp.html I apologize for editorializing too much into your question...it won't happen again...
  22. Thank you for taking the time to answer, but you completely ignored the parameters of the question. I didn't ignore it, I just disagree with the limitation you've set for yourself...it seems silly, to me, IMHO, to only take (1) 1 GB stick and expect to get all your pics on there and then worry about if you have enough storage to save the files...which I still recommend you take at the highest resolution and quality settings your camera offers regarless of your print size intentions or the size of your memory cards (or card in your case). Sw2
  23. I'm only seeing one for the Pre-1990 4.0L 6 Cylinder... Unfortunately not the one with the skanky "Miss Bestautomotive 2006" spokesmodel... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/87-90-JE ... 0027856395 SW2
  24. Depending on the type 4 GB Cards are like $30-40 ... 8 GB CF Cards are like $75 if you camera supports that...
