  1. Is that the HURST cue-ball shifter?
  2. I'm just about ready to drop the fuel tank and remove my short bed. Before I start, I wanted to re-read some posts on bed removal but I can't find any posts using the search feature. Can someone with a better memory and/or search skills help me out?
  3. This is an older post, but here is a picture of how I moved it. I used 4 ratchet straps & 4 bed cap c-clamps.
  4. To do list: 1. Order correct tool 2. Practice on Cherokee at JY 3. Master the tool 4. Remove my windshield frame Thanks again guys!
  5. Wildman, I know this might be difficult to do in words, but what is the technique for removing the Jeep clips with that arrow-headed tool?
  6. I just watched this YouTube video and now realize why the tool needs to hooked:
  7. Would this flat bar work or does it need that arrow-shaped head? It is very thin. http://www.hardwareandtools.com/invt/6470678?ref=gbase
  8. I'm about to start an auto bodyrepair/full truck repaint project and I need to carefully remove the windshield frame and reinstall it after the paint job. Has anyone done this before? Do I need a special tool? Worst case scenario-I can practice on Cherokees in the JY.
  9. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RARE-FIN ... 232054829& Do you think he'll get $5K?
  10. mfpdm, thanks for confiming the smaller plug. Knowing that, if I pull the vanity light assembly and wiring back to the plug from a Cherokee at a JY, it should work.
  11. The photoshop images are too funny! What fantasy land does this guy live in?
  12. Definately practical, but very very ugly! Those hook rails make it look like an 1978 Datsun.
  13. Thanks for the help-I'll try to pick-up the dash light assemblies next time I visit the JY.
  14. The first image is where the plugs are located-the passenger side dash: This is a close-up of the plugs. The large plug has pink and black wires. The small plug has purple and black wires.
  15. "dangling at shoulder height"-you couldn't ask for much better than that! jtdesigns, that is an old-fashioned jail break.
  16. I just looked at the photos from previous all-you-carry days and it looks pretty wild! These guys don't fool around. Twisty, did you have to pull the axle or was it separated?
  17. Thanks for the link Twisty. If I had known about this day, I would have been there in a heartbeat. How many Cherokees did they have in the yard? Hey Geonovast, I've been to Green Bay once, but I'm a Massachusetts guy.
  18. Hey Twisty, I'm in Massachusetts too! Do you mind sharing the name/location of the JY?
  19. There are two 10MM screws that hold the door handle in place. The screw closest to the door jam unscrews nice and easy every time. The other screw snaps the bolt shank EVERY time. I tried to remove 5 different handles today at the bone yard and the same bolt shank broke each time. I shot the bolt with PB Blaster and turned the wrench very slowly. Does anyone here have a trick to removing this screw?
  20. I love that picture jeepthing07! This site has a PDF list of parts listed for the MJ. For the price, I'll give them a try. Thanks again jtdesigns. http://certifit.com/
  21. I would need to take apart my dash to see what the clock connector looks like. Its too late for that tonight and I'm watching the post-game show on NESN. Go Bruins!
  22. Jim, the cigar light assmbly plugs into that connector and then clips onto the back of the cigar lighter cylinder (you can see one of the slots in the picture below). My MJ didn't have the light assmbly and I had to look at 5 different cherokee's at the local bone yard before I found one.
  23. Thanks guys, CertiFit has a retail shop only 20 minutes away! I'll call them this week.
  24. Has anyone purchased from pershingautobodyparts03 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-RIGH ... enameZWDVW Would anyone recommend NOT buying a fender from this guy for $69 delivered? Where have you guys had success buying fenders?
