  1. I believe it was mentioned.
  2. SO I took off my trim piece to fix the blower motor and it escalated into a full scale dash party tonight. Got the blower motor fixed, works better than when I bought the truck. Cleaned all of my guages, cleaned the inside of the cluster. All that dust just bugged the hell out of me. Replaced some burnt out dash lights. Couldn't find the one for the HVAC controls, did an 87 have that? Cleaned my entire fuse block, replaced every fuse. Brake fluid was mean to some of the older ones. So, now I've got killer heat, the lights are brighter, and I pumped everything full of di-electric grease, so it should be good or a while. I even mounted my Siruis receiver to the dash, after I "customized" the mount for it. How did you treat your Jeep tonight?
  3. damn, that's a lot of damage from something that small. Hit the aluminum just right to punch a hole eh.
  4. Yeah, shackles are an option that I hadn't considered. I'd rather not though, my brother has shackles and it's been rough to the leaf springs in his XJ. I see that you have a ramcharger, awesome. I had a friend in high school that had one with a removable top, that thing twas awesome. I had either a 318 or 360, can't remember.
  5. Do you know of anybody that has a FUll AAL for the MJ. I haven t been able to find any full length ones. I priced out new leaf packs, but that's way too much coin.
  6. good to know. What if I took the main leaf from another MJ?
  7. I know, you're all just going to tell me to go SOA. Problem is that I don't want that big, yet. I simply can't afford new LCA's and an SYE. I could swing 3" coils, but I don't have any idea what to do with the back. I was considering the bastard s10/dakota pack, but she's the DD and I'd ave to be able to do it in a weekend. I'm just looking for opinons/experience. Have at it.
  8. those tires are the gnar gnar. Good score.
  9. is that a SWB or a LWB truck that needs the SYE? I was going to see if I couldn't get away with it since I'm LWB.
  10. Std is open diff. one wheel stuck one wheel spinning. T/L is limitedslip/posi.
  11. What measurements do I need to make for rock rails?
  12. XJblue: So I'm a bit confused, I read the page. The whole kit with new trackbar and everything is $449? That's just crazy talk. SOA is so cheap. You need another test mule? :D As soon as it's mechanically sound I'm ordering one of these up. A few questions. Any welding required? I lack a welder. Do you have the info or part numbers on new shocks needed, or are they included with the kit? A question about the rockrails too. Possible to get them in a longbed version. I can take measurements. I also understand that there's a bit more steel. So if they turn out a little bit more $ then that's understandable.
  13. I found one realtively local for $45. As soon as I can get ahold of someone I'm gonna see if they can ship it. I'd hate to drive and hour one way to pick it myself. It was a 94 Celica, liftback. I took out the drivers side taillight assembly.
  14. make sure you get the hone for the cylinder bore too. Should be like a piece of pipe cleaner with a bunch of small round stones on the ends. You need to have the cylinder bore perfectly smooth, or you'll just chew up the new seals. I bought a reman, it was like $50, it's held up for the last month. It was an Autozone special, I was broke at the time.
  15. well, I'm pretty sure that the light is just burnt out. Quite frankly it doesn't bother me that much. I know when I've pulled the t-case handle, and I don't park in 4WD. I only use the 4wd in dire situations anyway. I'd prefer to just drive in 2WD all the time. I've got to take the dash apart to fix the heater controls and install a new radio soon. I'm gonna take that extra step and replace all the lights.
  16. Is your comanche long or short bed? Driveline angles are the biggest issue with a lift that size. I'm also not sure that the D30 upfront will cope with 35's very well without some upgrades. Hopefully pete jumps in here, I think he's got 35s.
  17. So, I'm pulling into a friends house to watch the game today. Hit the concrete and slid right into another friends Celica. Doesn't that just suck  So the good news is that the Comanche totally hosed his car without a scratch. The bad news is that the Comanche totally hosed his car without a scratch. If I was lower or he was higher no problem. My bumper was the perfect height and I was at the right angle that I totally destroyed his rear taillight assembly. Not just cracked lenses, I destroyed it. So now I'm on the junkyard hunt for a taillight for a Celica. Anyone got a mid-90's toy they're parting?
  18. Yeah, I'm too young to remember cj's :) I'm just saying in general, Jeep needs to make a new truck. A for real one at that. I'd be ecstatis if it was even a FSJ with a real cab on frame design. And they should make it use the classic grill, gladiator style.
  19. That post just melted my brain....
  20. yeah, that needs to happen. Why can't DCX take a hint/
  21. well, having an man trans rules out a NSS. Did you put an ohmeter to the fusible links? Do you have power at the ignition switch? Have you tried jumping the starter solenoid?
  22. the signature you have on the message board. It shows two comanches. One 86 the other 88. We need the year, engine, trans and any other pertinent info before offering suggestions.
  23. have you checked you hinges? They may be pulling from the A-Pillar and the door isn't lining up properly. If not then get a "door adjuster" and adjust the door. It sounds like the striker plate isn't lining up with the door. I used silly putty to look at my 90 sundance doors. Just put it in the seam where the latch was and closed it lightly so I could see how far the door was sagged.
  24. Depending on how they are stored that doesn't happen. If you support their weight on more than one point, or suspend them with a rod of some type in the middle. I should have been clearer. Don't store them on the ground vertically. I've seen many people just line the summer tires along the side of the garage, standing up, supporting their own weight.
  25. it appears that norway is the home of the perfect woman. Does she cook too?
