Need help Finding cab side exterior vents
Lewt2007 replied to littlezeeker's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
They paint up real nice with some Fusion satin, just clean them and sprat on a couple coats. i painted my original ones with flat black trim paint looks and feels like brand new again -
besides mine one local landscape company has three of them one even has a stake bed on it a bunch of em run through Lisbon during the week i know of a few other people that have Comanches they are real common in north east Ohio
-
like this one i put a slider in after the flat glass rear window shattered into a million pieces and I'm still cleaning glass out of the back of the cab behind the seats in the truck
-
was done in google sketch up originally and copied into paint
-
soon to come once winter breaks factory ac finished with possible front axle swap out of a 93 jeep cherokee to eliminate CAD in front end due to cad front end making howling noise
-
225/75R15 is what was on it when i got it right now the rims off of my Comanche are on it for the time being with the 235/75R15 tires on them
-
the one photo is of where it is sitting at my dads business
-
i have asked them they go by what the computer shows in oem tire sizes if it does not show as a stock size it don't fit
-
Ive heard that walmart will not mount tires that is bigger than what i came with from the factory if its not a factory tire size it does not fit. the Goodyear dealer will put any tire that i want on my grand cherokee.
-
i need to put new tires on my grand cherokee but wall mart will not put the 235/75/r15 i want on it so I'm going to use the mj to get the goodyear wrangler authority tires on it or a set of goodyear wrangler duratracs from our local goodyear dealer
-
if you want one that is guaranteed to fit go to a local truck and car accessory shop and see if they can get tonneau covers from Berlin covers they will custom make it to fit the Comanche i was looking into getting one for mine and thats what the local truck accessory shop said is to have it custom made so that it will fit and look right
-
i just completed a bucket seat swap into the truck and have to in the spring install the rest of the ac and the factory transfer case skid plate yet to come also going to replace the dashboard with the one out of the 93 cherokee mine has a big crack in the dash-pad.
-
better check the inner fenders and front half of the inner sheet metal behind the grill where the airbox sits on mine we had to cut from in front of the spring buckets to where the radiator sits including the front crossmember off of a 4.0 comanche to swap the 4.0 into a 2.5 comanche other than that all of the other parts just bolted right in
-
i used a piece of rubber fuel line to slide the shift fork over and hold the Cad lock Collar in place had to do it due to installing complete 93 cherokee motor trans transfercase and it didnt have the cad in it so i had to do the slide the fork over and lock it in place to make the four wheel drive work
-
there is holes in the front lower part of the bed to run the wires through they are in the bed bulkhead at the bottom in the corners of the bed
-
I have also done the Central Axel Disconnect mod to lock the front end so that its in 4wd when i pull the shifter into high or low range. had to mod the shift motor in the front axle due to 93 cherokee does not have the vacuum lines anymore to make the Central axle disconnect work. had to do the mod after getting the truck momentarily detained in a soft muddy spot at our race track
-
mine just factory name plates no on the factory graphics mine had the hockey stick pioneer graphics on it but now its just the comanche name plates 4x4 and 4.0 ho on tailgate with ss chevy stripes
-
'lock out' be a problem? Please elaborate. as in lockout hubs the wagoneer front end had the ability to have lock out hubs on the ends of the axel to increase gas milage
-
That's me! :agree: been there done that
-
:agree:

it really don't ride that bad the stiffer rear springs makes it ride better than it did with the stock springs and plus the leaf packs are not completely compressed unless there is a load on the back of the truck. at the time all i had was a set of j20 front springs to put under the rear and the complete leaf packs are there including the main spring the only one that is not there anymore is the overload springs don't really need em rides better without em
-
just a few weeks ago i swapped the complete motor trans transfer case from a 1993 jeep Cherokee 4.0 h.o into it the next upgrades to come are bucket seats new dash air conditioning from the Cherokee and have put a full gauge cluster from a 87 Cherokee into it to replace the factory idiot lights and have put a slider window in due to the solid glass window broke
