  1. yeah i don't know why they are talking about angles
  2. righ well if your coils junk you could be "charging" your frame and thus resulting in to battery power
  3. yeap! atleast 500rpms
  4. 3.55's will do you good if you want a lot more go to 4.10 but your top speed will go down the drain
  5. well if its th stock axle and people havent played with it there should be a tag on the pumpkin that says the gears and if not then put the axle in the air and the t-case in N and then make a line from your d-shaft to your pumpkin and roate the driveshaft 360. if the tire rotated 3 times then you have 3.07's
  6. is your coil/dist. any goood?
  7. well then you should be able to do it in a day
  8. ooh i like the way you think :brows:
  9. well he aint pulling the tranny so it won't be as hard all he has to do is pull the motor up and leave it on the hoist. but i see what your saying.
  10. well if you have a 4.0 i migh be getting an XJ with an MJ I'm looking at tomarrow and the XJ is for parts and if i get it i can sell/give you the wiring harness and whatnot
  11. i like your thinking, but don't buy the cherry bomb brand as they are over priced any knock off flow-through glasspack will do the trick. in NH you can just file for a new title as long as you proove you own the vehicle, maybe in NY too?
  12. well yea you can get a k&n intake for it which does work. also look into installing a chip or investing in a power programmer. if you have a mechanic friend and your capalbe you might be able to do a cam in one day(undo wiring for engine on friday night) and pull the engine out on saturday morning and install new one by noon if you work for it and then allow some time for allinging the engine up with the tranny (its like the worst ever) and then hopefully done by saturday night!
  13. i would suggest finding one with a SOA setup.
  14. amc 20 is a 8.75 ring gear (or something like that) you could run one of those too.
  15. haha yeah thats a good one
  16. Well, .010'' pistons will work but if you might as well do .030'' so get more displacement and some more torque. plus if your boring/honing yourself then its not going to cost anything extra. if you really want to go all out you can go to a 4'' bore and use Chevy 350 pistons, (which are like free).
  17. now why would you scrap an MJ? whats wrong with you? let it sit in storage for a few years and then you can atleast restore it in a few years.
  18. yeah thats what it is on most small trucks. i think rangers only have 6...
  19. how much for a small one?
  20. don't forget to make one that searches for "commanche" as there are people out there who can't read
  21. $4100 for a mj is rediclous! I'm looking to get one in decent shape for 1200 this weekend and its a 88 4.0 5spd with 100k on engine
  22. yes, there is a fuse for anyhting aletrical on a vehicle. i think its under the steering wheel on the left side of the pedals.
  23. well where are you located? cause there is an 87 4.0 4x4 bed is toas and same with cab but hes asking 450 and it might be high but if your putting in tube cage then who cares about cab corners and small holes in the frame. is in chicopee mass like 20 mins from connecticuit
  24. oh to answer your question, if your running boggers in 4wd i wouldnt worry about spinning in the mud just be careful around trees because if your rears go into a tree you go into the steering wheel. (been there done that.. a couple times)
  25. unbolt it and if you plan on running an empty frame and don't care about looks to much use exhaust hanger or rope or something to keep the neck of the tank about the tank. also check the brake booster if you have one as it helps braking under loads. as far as traction goes, well imagine this. my friends 92 sanoma w/ 4.3 5sp would chirp into third, put on a flat bed and can do brake stands in third.... well used to be able to  he traded it for a 93 toy and the chevy was totaled :headpop:
