Australian Cattle Dogs are real nice.

Love the truck, but good luck finding a decent bumper.

1989 Comanche Sport that just turned 100k miles. I purchased it in July of 2007 with 93K on it. Since I bought it I have replaced coolant and temp sensors, cps, knock sensor, air temp sensor, map sensor, oxygen sensor, fuel pump, radiator hoses, t-stat, upgraded all battery wiring (Kelly's Works in Progress), vacuum harness, harmonic balancer, idler pulley, water pump, fan clutch, power steering pump, cat converter, rebuilt fuel injectors, oil filter base o rings, radiator surge tank (Macs Radiator), transmission mount and of course full tune up including new coil. Most of these parts were replaced just for general principle, not because of failure. It runs and drives like a new truck. When I find a rear bumper that looks decent WITH a number plate on it, I will buy it. Till then I'm thinking of making my own. When people ask if I would be willing to sell the truck, I tell them I would sell my wife first...............for less money too!

I have been looking for a good rugged set of bench seat covers for a while. Tough to find.

If you have any luck finding a decent looking rear bumper at a reasonable price, please post it. I am getting ready to try fabricating a Ford Ranger bumper to fit my comanche. Kinda makes me wanna throw up to put it on there, but their ain't many choices.

HO valve cover on a Renix 4.0 UPDATE

Sounds like a great idea, will be watching this post closely. -
Well, I didn't do it all to help with the starting issue. I did it cuz the stuff is 19 years old, and I want daJeep to run as good as it can............and it does that. Idles nice, runs beautiful on the road and averages around 18 mpg with oversize tires on it.

Is their any adjustment on the CPS ? I had a new one put on, have new injectors, plugs, wires, cap, completely changed the positive and ground cables with the heavier ones ala 5-90, new tps, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and my 1989 4.0 with 97,000 miles still starts like slow. I also have another 1989 with a 4.0 that I do nothing to but abuse and put gas and oil in and I swear it starts quicker than the one I dump all my money in to.

Which rear end are you talking about?.............With or without bumper.

Now that I caught your attention, I am looking for a step & tow bumper for my MJ that will look decent. I tried a Fey and I don't like the look. I am considering trying to make a Chevy S-10 or Ford Ranger one fit. They seem to be nice looking and about the same size. Has anybody ever tried a Ranger or S-10 one? Looking at the custom fabrications, none seem to have a spot for the number plate, and the ones that do don't seem worthy of being attached to DaJeep.

I had a 1950 Hudson also. That fluid clutch never seemed to catch on.

What kind of new one do you have in stock?

I did quite a bit of searching for a good price on Brad Penn Racing oil. The 10w-30 has 1,500 ppm zinc. I finally found a place in NC that sold me a case of it for 39.49 plus 10.74 to UPS it to my door here in Massachusetts. That works out 4.18 per quart and I don't even have to drive to the store. I have read nothing but good about this oil................yet. http://kennedyoilco.com/ -

I actually read those articles before making my decision to go with Brad Penn 10w30. I have 12 quarts of it sitting on the shelf. Waiting for a warm day to put it in. -

Why do you think Brad Penn is gonna clog up your CAT? The way I see it Brad Penn is maintaining the same zinc level that my 1989 Comanche ran on for 19 years. -
Has anyone ever seen a decent looking rear MJ bumper that has a license plate on it?

Does anyone have a recommendation on a good cat for a 1989 Jeep, 4.0, auto, daily driver? Not looking to sound like a race car. Just want a good quality direct fit unit that will give me more power, better gas mileage, and cost next to nothing.
