  8. seems like u figured out the problem... and u did what i would have said to do. Looks like ur on a hunt to find where that wire may be :wall: good luck! also has ur wiring been messed with by a PO? if so i would carefully look over that
  9. thanks for postin this. I'm looking for ideas as well
  10. well next on the project list is mounting my winch. i want the versatility of being able to mount in the front and also be able to put it in my rear hitch reciever, or another vehicle all together. so i am going to make a winch plate with the reciever and also put a reciever in front. i want it to be hidden though. i figured i would make some beefy brackets(have acces to a plasma cutter) and then a sturdy piece going across with a reciever. all of this behind the stock bumper with an access hole cut. so now my question is how reasonable would this be? easy hard impossible? havent looked into it too much just ideas right now... also thinking about a custom bumper alltogher so any ideas are good! comment away!
  11. thanks guys! the tires make some noise but over the wind noise and trans and BAD exhaust leak it really doesnt bother me

  13. well i finally got my pics uploaded. the 4.56s in the truck are awesome. i also have some 2inch spacers that I'm putting on to level the truck as well as mj rear flares to the front. here's the pics on the rack regeared out with the old..... in with the new new ride hight had to get it muddy :D

  18. as far as the roll bar, ones out of trucks about the same size as the mj can work nicely. I'm not 100% sure what ones and years but someone should chime in with better info  post pics of that truck up to!

  20. thanks man. i should have my axle back from being regeared tomorrow. so after that is brakes and she will be up and running as a 2wd
  21. well i have been at work on the truck! no pics yet though :wall: we took the 8.8 apart and cut the perches off. got the new perches all ground and sitting right on the tubes, pulled the turd out as well as my aal. set my 8.8 in and burnt on the new perches then today i went to the shop put my shafts in to bolt some tires up and set it down to see how i want to do my shocks. it sits up I'm the back(2wd work truck look) so some spacers will fix that. but i love the lift the soa gives. plenty of room for my ltbs! so tomorrow I'm going back to burn on my shock mounts and hopefully put the gears in or find someone to do it! i want this thing up and running!!!!!
  22. havent tried anything. just been getting the truck back together and the brakes will have to be done soon so I'm trying to see what I'm guna have to do thanks for the advice and i will let ya know what i find

  24. in the process of doing my SOA with an 8.8 at the moment. and I'm about to be at the point where i will need to run some brake lines for the truck... i have a nice extended line from RE that came with my kit. i was wondering how i could make it work. is it possible for me to go to a parts store and get the line and the fittings needed and put it together? :hmm: i have never really done anything like this so sorry if its a dumb question :wavey:
