took the MJ to autozone and the worker there said his friend was looking for a 4cyl 4 spd. he said he would probably give me $1000 for my mj. now, mind you, this guy called his friend while looking at my mj. i will be expecting a call from this guy tomarrow. what do you think? i figured if he buys it i could get a better one maybe a 4x4.

we bled it. replaced all but one hose (it was in good shape). and the damn thing is still overheating!!!! this time its not cooling back off...and I'm still getting mystery steam that seems to be comming from the junction in front of the therm. but its not leaking...the rad may be bad but would that cause it to overheat or just leak. but its not leaking. at least not enough to cause a puddle. uggggggggghhhhh!!!! help! :wall:

ok, just to reiterate....1.I'm making sure my coolant bottle is full. 2.parking nose down on a hill, 3. with the truck off, I'm opening up the temp sensor to let out the air, 4. tightening it back up when coolant comes out ???????? :dunce:

when my brother in law and i were patching holes on my comanche we thought "hey antidisestablishmentarianism if we covered the entire truck in unsanded putty" we were thinking "adobe truck"! now...despite adding weight ...it would be easy to clean!

its a 190 thermo yeah sorry, the old one won't come off at the water pump. ...i losened the hose clampadn yanked like hell. it doesnt budge and the end of the hose is very hard to get to....especially with my fat fingers

cracker barrel is always good eating....so is Eatin park (and if you know what that is you hold a special place in my heart) Pa used some XJ's i guess they have all been decomissioned at this point. on point... i have an 88 with 4cyl 4speed. it won't win any races but has tourque enought to pull a boat (smaller one) ...more than my s10

the jeep is road legal, good.... but now i have a coolant leak it seems to be comming from the hose that goes from the water pump to the heater valve. bought a new one...tried to put it on and it is not comming off so i am looking for ideas here ... i also noticed a leak comming from the lower rad hose... so i guess it is getting replaced too. also.... what will cause the running temp to get hot (not overheat) then cool back down (almost instantly ) to 180 deg the repeat. ...i just replaced the therm and it shouldnt be bad.

he said that he and his dad went to every major auto man. in the usa too sell the system. they all declined. i think tryiing to sell it to CAR companies is a mistake. sell the system to kenworth or freightliner. espescially to medium duty truck companies. my truck at work gets its oil changed and the wheels never come off. we can only tell if our brakes are bad if the truck doesnt stop easy or somthing else breaks and the wheels come off.....or inspection. the system looks pretty simple and it uses a screw that gets pushed in as the pad gets low.

the explorer wheels/tires came from a co-worker for $100. his neice put her 96 explorer into a tree and he is parting it out. Btw the rear end is already spoken for. the brake system is patented and is in the name of ray chodkowski i don't know the number. but an explaination of how it works is on line somewhere. The inventors son sold me the truck and i told him when i get the truck up to snuff i will work with him at getting the brake system working right. Ps. thanks jt for getting the pic's up ... haven figured out how to do it on the laptop yet.

got the work done that the garage asked me to do to my MJ today. patched the hole in the rocker, covered the aluminum tape on the bed with bondo, and put the new rear shocks on. ....oh i also put on the new wheels and tires too. then i called the garage and they couldnt take me today .... i drive a lowes truck and we have to use either kobalt or taskforce tools on the truck and i am here to say that i don't care for kobalt. i just don't like the feel of them but then again task force is utter garbage. so it can be worse!!!
