  1. Thanks. I never really paid attention. Change the latch or the strike? Change the striker. Reuse the bolt hole from the old striker for the top bolt on the new striker. Drill a hole for the bottom bolt and put a nut insert into the metal. For the paint process remove as much as possible from the truck. The less on it means the cheaper it will be to get painted. Labor costs for parts removal is one of the biggest costs.(Especially on older vehicles with seized bolts!)
  2. It is entirely possible to do and has been done before. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=713450 http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1031285 http://www.boostwerks.com/collections/j ... o-manifold The hardest part is fitting all of it in the tiny space available. Once you have that worked out it is a matter of getting tuning electronics and spending the time to set it up.
  3. I was hoping Napier would come out with this set soon! I destroyed every single one of my aluminum mounting brackets for the stock flares and do no want to pay the dealer in excess of $300 for the 1997+ mounts to keep the stock flares.
  4. Are you still missing the front drive shaft?
  5. Metal bar looks like the spare tire holder. Too rusted to really tell! Looks nice out in the country there. Especially with all the Jeeps. :D
  6. Because on the old XJs and MJs that 20-minute job takes maybe 20 seconds. That's why. Maybe it is my age and flexibility, but I managed to reach up there to access it just fine in a quick time.
  7. I will not be putting mine back on. Needs polished though. Working on getting the windshield out later today. I will let you know if I get it all out without damaging it.
  8. I am the member that offered to help the move to the newer software. ...So my opinion is a little biased. :P Mainly because of numerous failed phpBB upgrades I had to deal with in the past.
  9. All four fixtures, bulbs, wiring, wire channel, and other little pieces cost $100 total.
  10. See my post above about the fender brackets.
  11. All setup as admin!
  12. Not very similar, but this does show off a few premade themes. Default dark theme, but you can change it at the very bottom with the "Change Theme" link. http://forums.zybez.net/
  13. Rainbow Dash color scheme would get my vote! One day I'll get an Applejack cutiemark on my MJ. :jump: I did a little mock up of the pastel light blue color. Really does not look that great on a Comanche!
  14. I have my site in development mode so it constantly spits those red error messages. Kind of annoying! I really do not have any other themes installed right. I had one previously, but I desperately needed to update the software. The theme had not yet been updated so I switched to the default IPB theme.
  15. I have you setup as admin. Give it a whirl! Just don't delete anything or change settings please.
  16. Whoops, forgot about that part! The last I saw on another build one bolt is roughly in the same place and another hole needs to be drilled then a nutsert installed.
  17. I got that, but never saw some one abbreviate it like that. Must be a JDM forum thing. :D Got rid of both my Hondas. D: A nice light horsepower monster would be a great swap to make a drift Comanche. I really considered doing a Driftmanche, but I have all the parts just laying around to make a nice lifted off road Comanche.
  18. No title and actually, a contractor that works in the local development came by and asked to take it. I would have to rent a tow dolly to scrap it thus losing all the cash for it.($50 for the dolly, about $50 in scrap.) I told him there is no title for it and he said that was not a problem.
  19. Seeing the greasy engine bay even after a little cleaning: "Arrghhh so dirty MUST CLEAN! ARGH!" Painted: "SWEET!" *High five!*
  20. I kind of sound like a jerk when I first wake up in the morning... Sheesh! How to get rid of a Jeep carcass. Step #1 - Kiss the Jeep goodbye. It had a good life and shall be properly recycled. Step #2 - Finalize removing anything valuable such as those 31" tires and high pinion D30 front axle. Step #3 - Paint FREE on the side in bright letters. This is rural Alabama, it will be gone by 8AM.
  21. People here would have my head if they knew what I have done to some of the parts that came off my Comanche.
  22. Doors will bolt over fine. Four door XJ doors to a MJ. The 1997+ header will bolt to 1996- fenders, but require the 1997+ fender brackets. The 1996- brackets are a simple L shaped piece of sheet metal while the 1997+ are crazy. It will look a little silly since the smooth header will not blend with the edged fenders.
  23. I can setup a test on my server, but I would need a database dump for that. Not sure how people feel about sending a database dump that contains username/passwords to an outside person. If you two want, you are welcome to register on my site and I can set you both up as admins so you can check out the software first before doing a test. http://www.nonamestudios.com/
  24. Helps if you give us information so we know what you are talking about! I would not want two bass boosted rappers running my Jeep. Bad enough just having one around. Shooting for 220HP from an engine swap is a silly goal when you are generally starting from 195HP with the 4.0L HO. Putting a stroker engine in place of a non-HO 4.0L since it would be nearly a 100HP increase over the stock engine. Now if you are planning to shoot for some crazy boost off a crazy Japanese engine that is a different story.
