sensors for new gauge cluster

I have asked this before but no real answer . My question is when you install the new gauge cluster and change the oil pressure sensor the one for the idiot light has one wire the gauge has 2 wires where does the wire go , anyone know ? Also does the water temp sensor need changed?

The gauge has NO wires. The cluster with the gauges has a printed circuit board. ALL wiring is already set up for the gauges. Just replace the oil pressure sender and the water temperature sender and the cluster is otherwise plug-and-play.

I just put my full gauge cluster in my 87 mj today, but have yet to put the senders in...i'll do that tomorrow morning when I replace the CPS...

If you got an oil pressure sender with two wires...you have the wrong one. The sender for the guage still has only one wire just like the switch for the light. I have done this swap too and it is very simple.

I guess I misread the intent of this post. I saw "the gauge has 2 wires" and posted an answer to that. Didn't realize you meant the sender had two wires. Sorry.
