My Contribution to the Gaggle of Cluster Swap Threads...

Recommended Posts

Have a Tach Cluster on the way for a swap into my MJ...

1 "simple" Question....This is the "Dummy Light" cluster that people talk about, correct? And if So, I will need to install some new sensors (which I'm sure I can find the part #'s and such if I searched for em on here - unless someone wanted to link a thread or just give me the #'s)...

OEM Sensor Part Numbers:

Temp: 53005309

Oil: 53005218 superceded by 56026782

Will I have to get these at the Stealership? Nearest is nearly an hour away depending on Traffic...#2

Usually, a parts house can cross the numbers and get the correct aftermarket replacement if that's what you want. My local Autozone got it right for me.

superwade2. if you click on the link i attached it will tell you the part numbers to a autozone. if there is one near you. you should beable to use those numbers to other parts stores.

Yeah, just saw that... replied before I looked at the other post... No AutoZones either... Well, the same 30-45 minute drive as the stealership...

Will check the local yocals to see if they have equivalent part #'s.

Just left the Local Parts Place (a Winchester Auto, which is local, but tied into Parts+Plus) and they wanted almost $30 for the one sensor and nearly $40 for the second... I didn't ask which was which, laughed at the counter jockey and left... Am I crazy, or does that sound insanely pricey (and for not having it in stock)...

thats way too much. there morons. i paid 9 bucks for one and 18 for the other. no way in hell is those 2 pieces that expensive. is there any other part stores near you?

Same place that wanted like $80 for MOOG BallJoints that I ended up buying on Amazon.Com for like $45 or whatever...

Kragen, which is tied to Parts America... NAPA down in Santa Cruz, which is 15 or so minutes away...
