i wanted to do this with my wrangler when i had it and eveyone said that the parts were incompatable. i believed since i have never seen a yj with a cj snout.

The tubs on the cj and yj are the same, other then a brace on the cjs tub on each side where the cab steps up.. it interfers with the yjs roll bar that goes all the way to the floor , unlike the cjs roll bar which is a big triangle

Theres a guy in my club with a YJ frame/tub and a CJ nose/fenders. He has a schweet built 401 pushing a HP D44, shaved D60 and 36" Iroks. Def a sweet machine.

yeah you can change front ends all you need to do is change the grill mount location because YJ fenders are like 1.5" longer but its all bolt on besides that.

 

CJ5's look really good with YJ front ends.
