JJtheJeepfan
exactly why I'm considering expanding my search. Maybe I can snatch an M715 for the same price as an MJ
mjeff87
A 715 is what got me into this whole Jeep thing in the first place. We had one at the volunteer fire department I grew up in up in PA, that we used as a brush truck/personnel carrier. We affectionately nicknamed it the "puking buzzard" :D I spent many young formative years with it, up in the woods either fighting brush fires, or on search/rescue missions (our township was mostly rural western PA terrain). Damn thing would go anywhere, anytime......just not too fast. Then I joined the Army at 16, and discovered the pure joy of 1/4 tons, then 2.5 tons, then the 5T wrecker (I was the only one willing to take custody of it in my unit). It's been all downhill since.... :D

onetallmj
Speaking of 5 ton wreckers, I found a M246 about 5 miles from my house in some old guys yard. The M246 is a wrecker/tractor truck used in the 50's to recover downed airplanes. Its in rough shape and the old guy doesn't want to come down from $2500 but man oh man what a beast. see pic:

Cooter
Does it say something about me, when I have owned, do own, or want to own every Jeep on that list? Or me, when I have owned all of them except for the flatties and willys wagon. (If you conside the M715 a J-truck ;) )
feerocknok
What the hoof do they have against the '86?! An ignorant friend of mine decided that he didn't like my Manch anymore cause JP said "avoid the '86 at all costs". What the friggin hoof?! Why is this? Friend says it's the bench seat, the v-6, and the shift on the tree; the bench seat and shifter are one of the reasons I got mine. Without it I'd have a 2-seater. I got the 2.5 as well, which they used through all of the years, I do believe, so hoof!
