djag12
Does the weather stripping that is on the door pillar go all the way around to the roof/back of cab? When I'm in my truck I can see daylight thru the top of the door. The door has weather strip on it but the weather strip that is on the pillar doesn't continue and I get alot of road noise not to mention all my heat escaping......... rubiconron
I had that problem too. I thought it was just old door seals......which some it was. BUT last weekend I loosened the door striker and moved it in (toward the seat) just a little. That fixed a ton of air leakage and road noise. Pete M
Likely just old door seals. I read that 97+ XJs have better seals and that they will fit our older rigs.

They are slightly thicker, and you have to slam the door, but they dayem sure don't leak.
watchamakalit
Anyone got a source for door seals? I would love to find a set of late models. I just can't find any in the salvage yards around here.
