I had introduced my comanches earlier but I have never started a project thread. It is safe to say that I have been working on my Pioneer since I got it. It has been one of my DDs as well. So lets play a little catch up so to speak.

1988 Jeep Comanche Pioneer

4.0L

SWB

Auto

2wd

150K

This is what my truck looked like the day I bought it:

Along the way with the help of this website and some others several smaller projects have been completed. I don't have pictures of all of them but I may be able to snap some after shots.

First thing I did was body work and paint. I robbed the red parts off of my Sportruck.

When I was doing the body work I found a tailgate in the junkyard so I put the red one back on the other truck. jamminz.gif

Yah it does! I'm surprised you paint in your shop!

We always do ours outside, get a little bit of dust from time to time but they are Jeeps and most of it will rub out...

Oh thanks for the cabin fever. Us Northerners don't need to see pictures like those this time of the year. The truck looks good too.

simply gorgeous....

I have total and complete admiration for anyone who can do quality bodywork ( I simply flat-out suck at it  )

I had those same YJ alloys on my MJ with 31's...loved 'em except they were a PITA to get mounted on the studs and get the lugnuts started ;) Spot check the torque on them every once in awhile, I had a random one or two loosen up on me.

Like I said in the first post....I'm playing catch up. The truck was actually painted in September or October.

I'll try to get some more pics on here later for some of the other upgrades.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments.

I'll try to keep the pics coming.

Yeah.... The Mustang is my dad's too. But I do get to enjoy it when I visit. Aside from Jeeps (that I keep coming) We have several classic Mustang projects, two antique vehicles.

I've compiled a list:

My List:

2002 TJ Lifted and Locked w 37s. This is my personal trail rig.

1999 TJ Project nearing completion (Pretty sure its sold already)

1998 TJ Just a parts jeep with a complete good drivetrain.(will be parted on my projects)

1999 XJ Flooded in Katrina (will be sold or parted)

1998 XJ Blown Head and needs a little quarter panel work (will be for sale)

1988 MJ I have bigger plans for this one

1988 MJ Pioneer is in progress (will most likely be sold)

1995 Thunderbird 40th Anny 4.6L (my brother is driving this one)

1994 Thunderbird Supercoupe 5spd (mostly stock right now)

My Dad's List:

1967 Mustang Fastback GTA Restored

1965 Mustang Convertible in pieces (in the process of restoration)

1969 Mustang Fastback in pieces

1967 Mustang Coupe/Fastback (this will be an interesting Resto-Mod)

Several 66-67 Parts coupes

1926 Ford Model T roadster (original working condition)

1926 Dodge Touring (original working condition)
