mjeff87 Posted January 28, 2008 Share Posted January 28, 2008 I cut the fronts off my fenders, but the 33's are rubbing bad when stuffing. Anyone here cut the back part of the flares out and have a pic or two I can go by? I'm thinking of cutting them flush with the lower body line, about even with where I cut the fronts. Yes, but it's still a PITA to have to work on the rig to pass inspection, then put it back like you like only to risk some yahoo cop ticketing you later on. :mad: No inspections here, but with some of the total junk running around sometimes makes you wish there were at least a cursory inspection. It's all the other stuff, being lifted 5+ inches and non-stock componentry (I think that's a word :D ) in the front end, plus I have a few holes in the floorboards on the underside (but all new metal cab-side), and I chopped my exhaust right behind the muffler. Jeff, your rig though is built right, and not likely to mechanically fail and wipe someone out. Thought I'd never say this, but I'd prefer some kind of state inspection here if only to limit some of the demolition derby looking wrecks that freely cruise around here. And then if one of these junks run into you, chances are they have no insurance, so your insurers have to suck up the bill, then guess what happens?
