Looking around for bed covers I stumbled across this write up for a engine swap into a 89 Dodge D50. Thought since the D50 isn't too much smaller than the MJ, this might be an option for a cool Street MJ. There is alot of different ones on that site just as interesting.

I don't think I would ever go that route, but that is a pretty cool job and nice clean work. I am always entrigued by sleepers 8)

Hhmm, missing parts and pieces engine + 3" exhaust = bad rice sound. Not something I'd prefer to do, but I do commend his originality and thinking outside the box on it though.

That's about the only thing that was on my mind when reading it, how it would sound. I read the whole thing hoping to see a video or sound clip. There were quite a few others on that forum with some interesting ideas. I'm sure you could change the exhaust around to give it a non-ricer sound. All in all it looked like a staight forward swap.

 

It would be cool to roll up to a ricer an smoke em with a Jeep. :D

That's usually easily accomplished with a good running stroker. :cheers:

or just a good running 4.0L lol.

:cheers: I'd love to see a stock 4.0 in a postal rhd : drive next to one of those guys and just see there jaws drop...in the rear view mirror :D
