mfpdm Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Looking around for bed covers I stumbled across this write up for a engine swap into a 89 Dodge D50. Thought since the D50 isn't too much smaller than the MJ, this might be an option for a cool Street MJ. There is alot of different ones on that site just as interesting. 1989 Dodge Ram D50 4G63 Turbo Engine Swap
BLHTAZ Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I don't think I would ever go that route, but that is a pretty cool job and nice clean work. I am always entrigued by sleepers 8)
beaterjeep Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Hhmm, missing parts and pieces engine + 3" exhaust = bad rice sound. Not something I'd prefer to do, but I do commend his originality and thinking outside the box on it though.

Not something I'd prefer to do, but I do commend his originality and thinking outside the box on it though. That's about the only thing that was on my mind when reading it, how it would sound. I read the whole thing hoping to see a video or sound clip. There were quite a few others on that forum with some interesting ideas. I'm sure you could change the exhaust around to give it a non-ricer sound. All in all it looked like a staight forward swap. It would be cool to roll up to a ricer an smoke em with a Jeep. :D
HOrnbrod Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 It would be cool to roll up to a ricer an smoke em with a Jeep. :D That's usually easily accomplished with a good running stroker.
