bhorocks
how did people go about getting that rigged up? I am thinking about using wahsers and shimming but would like to just make it work with the vacuum for now... what did you do to make it work? oldjeep
If you had to swap in a front axle, why in the world did you swap in a disconnect front?
DrThunder
i like my disconnect, i spent 20 bucks on a heavy duty throttle cable that locks when you turn it to the right and welded up my front end. cheap and very effective locker :brows: nobody down it either, it works for me and i like it
CWLONGSHOT
POSI-LOC baby!!! Its WAY better then the problematic vacuum system!! http://www.4x4posi-lok.ca/ http://www.thejeep.com/onlinecatalog/p72.htm CW
Rokhound
go to O Reilly’s and get a band clamp the really wide one for 1.00 and call it good. All it has to do is hold it over. Cheap and easy.
mjeff87
washer method I've been using on my MJ below, takes about 10 minutes and 6 or 7 washers. I'm eventually going back to the vac motor, but using a manual vac switch in the cab, when/if I add a front locker. Jeff Image Not Found

bhorocks
If you had to swap in a front axle, why in the world did you swap in a disconnect front? because it had 4.10s cheaper to get one peice shafts at the JY than to get an axle with the wrong gear ratio then swap over.
