MuXJ Posted yesterday at 01:33 AM Posted yesterday at 01:33 AM Attempting to get my turn signals to work, I took the taillights out to check the grounds. PO left me this fun nonsense. The only turn signals I have are the aftermarket pod lights mounted to the front and rear bumper on a switch (inconvenient). I guess my question is how would you go about rewiring the taillights to regain stock turn signals? Or, would it be possible/easier to wire the pods into the stock turn signal arm? Not sure if the pod lights are spliced into the factory wiring or independently. (I already spliced in a 97-01 header panel/harness all bulbs work in the front)
Pete M Posted yesterday at 03:18 AM Posted yesterday at 03:18 AM new sockets are available. I would get a hold of the wiring diagram and start from scratch with proper connections and shrinkwrap. heck, I've even replaced the bid connection under the truck with new. the old stuff just kinda sucks. I prefer the low-temp solder connections (which has its own heat shrink) and put a layer of regular heat shrink over top of it for durability.
