hgeranium
As title says. I’ve mysteriously lost my side marker lens twice now. I think there’s something wrong with the headlight bezel trim because that side doesn’t feel right when I’m putting the retaining screws in. Right side is completely fine and I use the same size and thread screws. I don’t want to have to keep getting lenses. Should I just bite the bullet and get a new bezel? Or can somebody give me the dimensions of the screws that they’re using to hold their side marker?
Gojira94
For a quick fix, try plumber's tape on the screws to give them a touch of extra bite in the worn out holes. To fix it for good, you can fill (JB Weld epoxy) and re-drill the mounting holes in the header panel behind the bezels. I had to do a number of screw holes for my lower dash panel screws this way. Good idea! Thank you.
89 MJ
It's been a while since I've had my marker lights removed, but I believe that they screw into the header panel and not the bezel, the bezel just has holes for the screw to pass through. I would suspect that at some point, someone installed the side marker lights, tightened the screws too much and pulled the threads out of the header panel. I think Gojira has a good idea with fixing the holes.
