Wanted OEM rearview mirror in good condition

Anyone have a good condition original mirror for sale? The silver is coming off of mine. I tried a parts store one and it was a flimsy POS that vibrated like crazy.

I can generate a shipping label from you to me if that makes it easier, Pirate Ship is the cheapest place that I've found for UPS & USPS.

Mine looks the exact same as yours! I've had a new mirror on my to-do list but it's good to know about the aftermarket mirror being an issue. I may also have to source an OEM or at least find a solid reputable aftermarket piece. Good luck on the search.

how married are you to OEM?  I installed a mirror from a second gen neon in the 88 I've been fixing up that has map lights built in :D

That's a great idea. I didn't even think about reusing mirrors from other mopar junk. How do you get power to the map light?

ran a wire off the other cab lights (which are now euramtec or however it's spelled).  everything is LED now, so power draw is minimal.  there's a chance that the old windshield mount is wrong?  I had the windshield replaced too and can't remember if the 97+ XJs use a different size.  :(

I've got an OEM Ford mirror kicking around. It wouldn't fit on the tab on the Jeep's windshield. I suppose that I could glue a Ford tab to the Jeep one, I'm not going to try to pry that sucker off of my new windshield.

google says that all XJs shared the same mirror mount :L:

Unfortunately the nearest junk yard is 3 hours away, I usually just end up buying stuff either here or on eBay. There were about 5 when I was young, but CA restrictions put most of them out of business.

I've got a dozen OEM rearview mirrors.  None are perfect.  I've probably got one that will be better than what you have if you are interested .

Another option for you: when I wanted an OEM looking mirror I bought this this: https://blueovalindustries.com/products/in1930kit?_pos=1&_sid=a0380ec71&_ss=r

Best OEM looking mirror I could find at the time.

I've got one that looks just like that! It came of my sister's '89 Tempo. It doesn't fit the mount on my windshield though. I know that I could just glue a Ford one to the Jeep one.

I did order a mirror off of eBay, the pictures weren't great, so we'll see if it's worth a darn. If you do end up having a decent one, the first one on my XJ is doing the same thing, so I could use another.
