Swing out tire carrier

Looking for what people have made for swing out tire carriers. Was thinking of doing a filthy addictions one but the lead time is 8+ weeks which kinda sucks. Could weld one on my bumper but it does not offer protection like I want it too

You’ll lose some departure angle too. I’d carry a plug kit and a little battery air compressor for daily driving and strap a spare in the bed for roadtrips and wheeling.

Honestly not all that much my drivers side mirror is all I use

LMAO you weren’t kidding about seeing nothing but tire in the rear view

I strapped mine down differently for my trip out to Moab just because of that.  tilt your mirror up and see how often you glance at it.  might surprise you.

personally I like the idea of the tire being in the bed upright, right behind the driver. takes up a bit of bedspace, but completely out of view. 

 

tire swings can rattle/loosen up, if you build your own, be picky about the hardware you choose.
