BEEDOSAUCE
Hello, i’m currently running into trouble while trying to install some factory style fog lights, i’ve already bought an OEM harness with fog lights and some HELLA fog lights but I think my issue is the switch. I got a switch from the junkyard but it was for the trans power/comfort and it doesn’t want to turn on at all. Does the switch need to be specifically for the fog lights or is something else the issue?
eaglescout526
No. Trans and fog lamp are the same exact switch used.

Ωhm
Headlight SW needs to be ON and set for low beams only.

eaglescout526
Fog lights will work correctly once your headlights work. So long no major modifications to the factory harness or the way AMC designed it is altered to where they won’t work in conjunction with your headlamps. ghetdjc320
You can test your switch for continuity to rule that out. Then test the power coming to the switch from the headlight switch as outlined above.
