So,I have a 1989 comanche pioneer, auto on the floor 4.0 and would love and I mean love to have cruise control and instructions, kinda,I have put a aftermarket in a 77 dodge van in 1978. Im lacking the vacuum reservoirs that special to cruise control set ups. There is a work around for this problem. I do have the instructions still. Wow. Bicentennial Eagle! Nice. I earned my Eagle back in '13. Let me gather the parts I have that will get you started with getting set up. You will have to get the brake switch possibly, the turn signal/cruise stalk and the speedo cables both upper and lower are available. Teqtony Posted July 17 Author Share Posted July 17 Eaglescout526, I got a cruise control from you and has been working fine for 6 months. Now no cruise, no brake lights. Have checked fuses 10 volts to switch Continuity test on switch Any ideas? I thought if I jumped across wires on switch plug my brake lights should come on but they don't. eaglescout526 Posted July 17 Share Posted July 17 Yeah what Carter said. Though I’ve never heard of those switches just up and fail as they’re mostly metal and not some sort of plastic piece.
