Ah alright, thanks. Lights seem to still work with it unplugged so I will it.

 

Mounting my stereo there temporary, and it was in the way

Was it just hanging there, or did you unbolt it?  From the factory it's screwed to the metal dash support.

Looked exactly like this, I unbolted it, unplugged and used the bolt for my stereo ground
