armcallister
I'm trying to reinstall the dash back in my '87 Comanche after changing out the Evap and heater cores. I thought I took enough pictures to assure getting everything back connected but am at a loss for this one connector. This part of the harness comes into the passenger compartment through the firewall just to the right of the engine and in the same vicinity as the AC and Heater connections. I looks like it is supposed to be routed around to the left towards the steering column but I am not sure. Perhaps it is an accessory harness that is not used on my Comanche? Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated.
eaglescout526
Is that the TCU connector? Do you have an automatic?

For example: year, engine, transmission, 2wd/4wd, short bed, long bed, Base/Pioneer/Laredo/Chief. It will help us answer your questions. As EagleScout526 was saying, that is the transmission computer connector. TCU connection:
armcallister
My truck does have an automatic trans and should know where the TCU is located. I probably did at some point but my 75 years are beginning to play havoc with my memory. Can you give a the general location of the TCU? 1987, 4.0, 4wd, Shortbed, AT. armcallister
OK, forgot it was on the right hand side of the knee panel, which was not yet back in the truck. No wonder I couldn't find it. Sorry for all the confusion and thanks for the help!

armcallister
One more thing, totally unrelated. I have tried several times to update my profile and add more info on my truck but I can't save the changes. What am I doing wrong?
