88JeepManche Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 How difficult are they to replace? I have one on the drivers side that is bad. They look fairly easy to get to. BTW it is an 88 4.0. would i be better off asking for one for an xj?
TNT Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 It took me about an hour to put M.O.R.E. rubber mounts in my XJ. The drivers side wasn't that hard. I will never use any other mounts. The M.O.R.E. mounts are great.
mjeff87 Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 I did mine in about 2 hours total a few months ago, working by myself. The driverside is the more difficult one of the two (at least on my 2.5L it was). Helps to have another set of hands to raise/lower the engine in tiny bits so that you can get the mount bolt thru both sides of the mount. BTW, the oil filter was in the way on the passenger side and had to come off to get the bolt the whole way out. Plan on an oil change while yer at it... Jeff
Pete M Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 would i be better off asking for one for an xj? XJs and MJs are identical in that respect. But sometimes I've found myself saying "Cherokee" because the guy on the other side of the counter didn't know what a "Comanche" was. :(

HKB3 Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 I like when the parts "kid" says "I never knew Jeep made a pickup truck" I just laugh 8)
