Lurch
Background: Truck died while accelerating leaving work about a 1.5 years ago. Got it towed home and haven't been able to start it since (not that I've tried a lot). 1992 Comanche with a 4.0 from a 1998 XJ. Will crank for days but does not turn over. - Replaced: CPS, coil, fuel pump and filter - tested fuel pressure, it was a little low during cranking but not horrible. Replaced the pump and filter anyways. I love this truck but it has just been rotting away not getting driven and I hate that. Any advice on what else to troubleshoot? Thanks. 89 MJ
Have you verified that you are getting spark? Are you sure the CPS is in spec?

Get a cheap spark tester, and hook it between your coil and distributor, also pull your distributor cap and check the cap and rotor, I’ve seen trucks where the rotor disintegrated or broke in half while driving
acfortier
Probably a niche thing, but check the connector going into the coil. Mine was loose enough to cause a no start condition.
Lurch
Great suggestions. Bought a spark tester. I know I used a plug grounded to the block when it first died to test, and I assume it had spark but I'll give it another go. And test the CPS and peak inside the cap.
