Warren99
My clutch pedal has a lot of play, all of it is from where the master cylinder rod connects to the linkage. It looks like there is a grommet that I’m either missing, or it’s just that worn down. -Is there somewhere I can order a new one from? If not, what’s the most recommended way to make one/fix it? pizzaman09
There is indeed a thin white plastic liner between the rod end the pin it sits on. I'm not sure of where one can purchase that part but it's not too challenging to replace.

New members to the forum, and some longtime members too, post technical questions in this forum but do not provide specifics of the MJ they are referring to. Like: Year of Manufacture Engine Drivetrain Body Style Etc., Etc. These details are necessary for responders to accurately answer your questions without guessing or having to ask what are the specifics of the MJ you are referring to. You can add these details easily and permanently by creating a signature or adding your truck details to your existing signature. Here's how to do it: 1. Click on the upper RH icon to open the drop-down menu 2. Click on Account, then Account Settings 3. In the Settings menu click on Signature 4. Compose your signature, or add to your existing signature 5. When complete, click Save Quote With tapatalk you have to go to the main page where it shows you the icons of the groups you are in. at the top there should be an icon of a person, then go to settings, then signature. Then you can add a signature to the group you want. But it will only add the signature when you use tapatalk, if you ever log in on a computer it will not input the signature. Warren99
I figured it could be assumed I was talking about the truck in my signature, but it’s a 1989 base model swb that came originally as 2wd with the BA/10 trans. Now is 4wd with the AX15 from a YJ

91Pioneer
I wonder if you could use a metal washer and/or small piece of plastic / PVC tubing to repair?
cruiser54
It would be a great opportunity to remove the clutch pedal and reinforce it where the weld tends to break.
Warren99
I actually have a second assembly for the brake switch from my parts MJ, I wonder if the plastic sleeve would fit there?

Warren99
Obviously my bushing is worn out, but there’s also a small groove worn into the bottom of the clutch pedal linkage. Does that need addressed? And is my set up supposed to have two bushings?
