Dandxj
I just got a decent JY 1996 XJ booster and MC. MC seems OK but I would like to rebuild it. I have had no luck in finding a rebuild kit for it. Does anyone know of a source for these kits ?
jdog
I don't but I will say good luck, this country is going away from rebuilding to replacing with junk
Salvagedcircuit
I have a genuine mopar 52008647 master + booster kit for a ~1996 XJ. The booster came damaged from omix-ada. The master is likely still useful. If you are interested let me know. Thanks.
ratrapp
i think m/c rebuild kits have been mostly done away with.its like wheel cylinder kits.hardly nobody rebuilds those and for the price difference most of the time i don't think its worth it. 91Pioneer
Companies really don't offer rebuild kits anymore, if you are paying a mechanic it's actually cheaper to just replace the part than pay the labor to rebuild things, that's why many mechanics are parts changers now. It was hard to find a M/C rebuild kit for my 86 AMC Eagle but I found one on RockAuto. I remember the old days when you would turn (resurface) a brake drum/disc instead of buying a new ChInEsE part.
