This is my parents' latest project. It's a 2017 Sierra double cab (shorter 4 door cab) with a 6.5' bed and a 5.3. It has the 6 passenger cloth interior with heated seats and the Z71 package. It's nothing special as a truck really. They bought it hit in the right front and bought it to become a new work truck for them since their 04 Suburban is getting rusty and their 00 Silverado plow truck has the floor, rocker panel, and cab corner delete and a rusty frame.

How they got the truck (the right rear door was in the bed):

It really didn't need much. It needed some suspension work, the passenger rocker panel, a bumper, a fender, 2 wheels, and a passenger door, plus some straightening of the right rear door and some little plastic odds and ends.

Next to grandpa's 40. It's crazy how big these trucks have gotten.

New rocker panel going on:

I believe they have the bodywork all finished on the cab, but I don't recall. I'm 1700 miles away, but I'll be going home in about 2.5 weeks and they are hoping to have it done by then.

 Wow, that’s quite the transformation. Incredible work:beerbang:

It has gone very well so far. I think my dad only has about 6 days worth of work in it. Today I’m going to spend more time on my 40.

It’s really close, just needs a couple small things, an alignment, and it can get inspected.

Alignment is done, but dad found some broken wires that he is going to try to fix this weekend. Inspection date is set for this Tuesday, the 31st.
