ghetdjc320
I’ve come across a few of these XJ splash guards from the 97+. Any thoughts on fitment for an MJ? I’m assuming a slightly different flare profile.
Airborne Janitor
The bolt holes on the front fenders/flares should be the same for all MJ & XJ years, so they should bolt up. Of course the 97+ flares are shaped a little different, but I think they would work with the pre97 flares. I was thinking of the fender holes, not the holes for the actual mud flap. Strokermjcomanche
I have some splash guards from a 97+, I can hold them up to my Comanche to show you what they look like. Supposed to get heavy rains all day today but I can do it for you tomorrow if nobody else responds

Rear is exactly the same. I believe husky and several other brands made splash guards for the 84-96 flares. If you can find those I believe that would be a better option. ghetdjc320
Can’t tell for sure but doesn’t it have a gap from the flare near the bottom or does it contour to the flare all the way down? Husky has some universal ones that I could trim to the right shape I suppose. I like the look of the old style XJ rears on the rear of the MJ more than the stock MJ rears. It does not follow the contour of the flare all the way down. There was about a three-quarter inch gap at one point in the middle of the radius of the flare. Old style fronts on the rear of the MJ are the way to go IMO:
