Windshield trim removal

How do I remove the trim strips around the windshield of an 88 Comanche so that I can reuse it?

The trim is just held in place with some plastic clips (that are some times in bedded in the sealant) just pry off the trim from the glass side/edge, and it will pop right off, start on the top piece, down the sides, across the bottom, and done ;)

You'll probably find 3/4 of the clips will be garbage afterwards... Plan on getting a few more.

and, start along the sides first. the top piece is under the side pieces. remove the side pieces, then whichever one you feel like removing after that. the bottom is made of 2 pieces.

was anyone able to get the clips back on? I just ditched them and used silicone (on the bottom one anyways...)

i started on the bottom in the middle and got mine trim off finefrom my 88.

As long as they aren't broken, it'll all just snap back together. Normally they break when you pull the trim though, they just get too brittle after years of exposure.
