Interesting finds in my local 'yard

Took a mental health day yesterday, headed down to the U-pull to grab an ignition coil for the Focus (unsuccessful, but did manage to snag a fuel pressure/pump module).  Over in the Chrysler section, there were a couple older XJ's and a few neat things.  A 69 Wagoneer with the 230 Hurricane engine (not a spec of rust on it other than surface).  I was going to snag the grill for some garage art, still might, but it's a bit dinged up.  Then a 79 Cherokee (360) in fairly decent shape....no idea why it ended up in a junkyard intact like it is.  Then, the quirkiest thing I ever saw was an 07 KJ, with the 3.7 and.......a 5 speed.  I saw the shifter first and thought it was either a 4 banger or a diesel, but was shocked when I popped the hood and saw the (miserable) 3.7.  I never knew they came with sticks behind a 3.7.  Pretty neat.

 

Anyways, all of this stuff was just set out recently, so if anyone needs anything off of any of them just shoot me a PM.

Really sad to see so many of them in yards. But cool at the same time lol.

 

But this is the last time I went to the jeep place near me.

I'd be hard pressed to not snag that transmission...  not even sure what to do with it, but I know they didn't sell many manuals.

I'm giving it a few days to see if someone comes along and pulls it and leaves it lying underneath.  Save myself some work, lol.

 

And I pulled my KJ out of the garage this morning to drive to work (my left foot is killing me from yardwork over the weekend and I need to give it a clutch vacation for a day or so.....) and saw my passenger side front bumpstop lying on the garage floor.  I might need to go grab the pair from that KJ.
