What is this?

Pretty sure this link connects to a ballpoint on outside of the rear end and busted off on a trail. The other end seems to swivel side to side and is vaccuum? What is this for? It does not seem to operate any differently now that its hanging down. Thanks!

That’s the rear proportioning valve to adjust the brake strength for when the bed is loaded.
