1987 jeep comanche blower motor

Just bought my first comanche this weekend and went to replace the blower motor. The comanche came with a new that wasn't put in but it has a different plug then the original. Am I able to just cut the connectors off and put a male female connector on each? Both motors look identical other then the connector. Sorry if this is a stupid question. 😄

Not a stupid one. Yes you can cut and splice the wires

Just make sure it's rotating in the correct direction
