89 MJ Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 I’m pulling out the stupid vinyl flooring in my truck that has never fit correctly and replacing it with carpet. That said, I’m seeing ACC has an Essex or Cutpile style. Which style would have come from the factory? I’m leaning towards cutpile due to cost, but may change my mind. Also, what is the correct cloth seat material? I’m guessing it’s the Rayburn Tweed option. For a Navy interior, is their Navy Blue the closest to OEM for the vinyl sides of the seat? I had fabric samples, but now I can’t find them. Thanks!
ghetdjc320 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I have used both the Essex and the cut pile from acc. They are both nice. The Essex is a bit more comfy and quieter. Just do not get the mass backing. Terrible junk that crumbles apart and perpetually smells like some chemical compound when it’s warm.

Can’t say that’s the exact smell as I ripped that carpet out several months ago now but it was a persistent chemical smell that was quite strong. Took about an hour to clean up all the rubber crumb it left behind also.
89 MJ Posted March 23, 2022 Author Posted March 23, 2022 Cutpile carpet without mass backing has been ordered. I also requested new fabric samples for the seat material, but I just wanted to try one more time. Is the factory cloth part of the seat the Tweed material that Raybuck has?
