jeeptec1
There was an old article years ago on the NAXJA forums for Renix performance tips and tricks. 1 I remember is to relocate the intake temp sensor from the intake manifold of course plug the hole. Extend the wiring. Relocate to either intake tube or intake box. The article stated the computer will think it’s cooler and add a little more fuel for better performance. The article stated Renix engine run on the lean side. Has anyone done this. I know most modern vehicles that use an intake temp sensor are running on the intake tube not in the manifold. omega_rugal
i would put it right in front of the stream of the incoming air, in front of the throttle
Ωhm
Different locations for Intake Air Temperature (IAT) may fatten the INJ PW time during Open Loop (OL) or engine warm up but once vehicle enters Closed Loop (CL) operation the Oxygen Sensor (O2S) takes charge and using Fuel Trim (ST/LT) will maintain 14.7 to 1 air fuel ratio (stoichiometric). OldSch88L
I'm in the process of doing this. I've got a GM (Delphi) sensor and pigtail on order due for next week. I'll get back with details when it's done.
